Also, Amazon have the same policy as Tescos regarding lower prices:
Pre-Order Price Guarantee
Amazon.co.uk may from time to time offer a Pre-Order Price Guarantee on certain items sold at Amazon.co.uk. Amazon.co.uk's price for these items may change between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and shipped. If you pre-order an item with a Pre-Order Price Guarantee, the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time you placed your order and the release date. The order summary in Your Account will reflect the lowest price within 24 hours of the price change.
Please note that our Pre-Order Price Guarantee applies only to items sold by Amazon.co.uk, and not to items (or prices) offered by other sellers on our site.
If your order enters the shipping process before the release date and the price is lowered on the release date, we will automatically refund the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price.“All you need is love. Does anyone have any idea how this Friday's strike is going to affect our deliveries? Just wondering if to cancel my Amazon order and send hubby down to Tescos at midnight:rotfl: .

I was just wondering if ordering from Amazon with free delivery would still get the book delivered on Saturday as it says the free delivery option takes 2-5 days to be delivered?0

I would imagine it affecting very little. I am no postie, but the book is out in two weeks time, so this weeks strike should not really be too much of an issue.
If the posties REALLY want to alienate themselves and loose public sympathies, then delaying the last book in the series that is supposed to have gotten the entire country reading again, they should perhaps consider strike action next week.0 -

Red House books are doing an offer which initially is more expensive for the new book £12.99 inc. delivery, but then entitles you to buy the first 6 hardback Harry Potter book collection for £19.99, saving masses overall! Ideal if you don't already own any!

Thanks for that - I've gone for this deal as all 7 books in hardback delivered for just over £30 seems like a stealAlthough I've got some of the earlier ones in paperback It'll be great to have the whole set like this (and I can always offload the old paperbacks on ebay!)

The Tesco offer of free P&P on the new Harry Potter book seems to have been extended. The end date on the website now says 12th July. So you can get the book for £8.87 incl delivery. Better than Amazon.
The e-coupon will take the £2.74 delivery fee off at check-out. Probably worth checking out the Tesco website daily if they are keeping the offer going one day at a time.
