If all else fails, i'll turn to Amazon.com, but I'm sure some can find it cheaper...0 -

Now remember you'll have to buy and read both versions because in the half blood prince they were different!, just a small sentence at the end which was really important (of course just added to speculation!).
Probably be buying 2 copies from Amazon so I get them in the morning, done this previously and it worked great. (2 copies so my husband and I don't fight!).
I recently purchased the first 4 books (borrowed them originally) as I want to read them all before the last book and the new film and brought them through https://www.dvd.co.uk for the best deal. I brought adult paperbacks. I used http://www.bookkoob.co.uk/ to check for best deals.0 -

I didn't know about this either, but I think it is the bit found on the wikipedia page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Potter_and_the_Half-Blood_Prince#Text_changes
(Obviously don't click if you haven't read HPB, not that this probably applies to anyone here).0 -
it seems a little extreme to order 5 copies, which is what would be needed here. However, it's quite simple. I give to one of the boys, who reads it in a day, then I get it to read in bed, so it lasts a while, but anyone who wants to borrow it during the day is welcome.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Does anyone ever sell these books at RRP? Except for small independents I suppose... You can always go to your local supermarket at midnight - they all have special openings, I'm sure. Didn't EVERYONE stock it last year? Any shop from butchers to bakers and erm... candlestick.....
Waterstones should also be selling it at half price.:wall:0 -
I ordered mine a while ago with my local Waterstones which meant that I will get the free book on the day. For many students like myself, the day it is released is the first day of our summer holidays. Also as it is the last book, I'm sure the Midnight Openings will be very busy. Unfortunately I love my sleep and I wouldnt be able to concentrate reading all night :P My previous preorders for 5 and 6 were with WhSmith, they both came with free HP related books too (but unfortunately I lost them

I pre-ordered in January on Amazon and have just had an email to tell me that I have over £150 Gift certificate Vouchers. The offer is.....
Pre-Order Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Get Over £150 Worth of Gift Certificate Vouchers to Redeem for Certain Items on Amazon.co.uk
1: Offer ends on 18 July 2007, 23:59:59 p.m.
2: Seven days after your pre-order of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is completed on http://www.amazon.co.uk, over £150 worth of gift certificate voucher codes (the “Gift Certificate Code(s)”) will be attached to your amazon.co.uk account for you to redeem against certain items on http://www.amazon.co.uk (the “Offer”).
3: All Gift Certificate Codes expire on 31 July 2007 and must be used before 22:59:59 on 31 July 2007. Each Gift Certificate Code can only be used once.
I have no idea how good this is as Ive never had gift certificates on Amazon before.0 -
I'll be waiting for the paperback to come out, partly because I have all the others in paperback, but mostly because it is usually cheaper - Asda had the last one for £3.97, and the one before that I got in Woolies for £3.50.
Au Res.,
