Actually some do, Dolphins are one such animal as well as monkeys

Penguins have been observed engaging in prostitution as well.
and thats why I pointed out the docu makers picked these particular people.

And I think that's the main point. This documentary is no more representative of the whole dogging community (for want of a better word) than I am of every male ever born, anywhere.

Documentaries of this sort only gain an audience by showing the biggest extreme that they can find. They have to! If we really apply any logic or thought to it, dogging is pretty boring for those of us who don't find it a turn on. It boils down to some folks who may or may not include an individual who played for Liverpool and Nottingham Forest (:D) having sex in a car or car park while some other folks watch. That's all it is.

And that... in an age where you can get access to a broad range of sexual titilation from !!!!!!, to phone sex, to escorts in a few minutes is frankly dull. So the documentary makers spice it up a bit by finding the weirdest folks they can and parading them on television like some kind of travelling freakshow.

All such documentaries are the same. There was a documentary that featured fetishes and paraphilias - we've seen or heard of most of them; feet, stockings, dolls, armpits, pvc, leather, restraints etc. so this particular documentary introduced the audience to the man who likes to have sex with car exhausts.

Even non sexual stuff focuses on the extreme - a documentary I saw about gambling in Las Vegas featured various people who lost, in short time, ridiculous sums of money yet not once did the makers speak to any of the millions of ordinary people who go there every year who don't drop $50k in a weekend because that just isn't that shocking.

dogging is simply acting in a depraved way - people are of course entitled to acts of depravity and always have been - but we do not need to have the profile raised and glamourised.

No that is your opinion, doesnt make it fact, some people like to take part in it, others dont, so what? Some people like to partake in anal sex or water sports, not my cup of tea but if that's what they like then im not gonna get hung up on it and throw insults at them! I accept that everyones preferences including sexual preferences are different and personal to them and people should do whatever they want as long as they are safe and not hurting anyone.

Wasnt so long ago people thought people of the same sex was depraved, look how that turned out......

How does this documentary raise the profile or glamourise dogging anymore than when a certain ex-footballer admitted it?

And depravity is moral corruption and I really find the term highly subjective when referring to things like this. It wasn't that long ago that certain sexual acts that we may not engage in ourselves but consider to be acceptable, such as sex between two men, were considered depraved.

Heck, it wasn't that long ago that even discussing sex with a woman before her wedding night was considered depraved/wrong/unacceptable in certain circles which really just led to quite a lot of naive women being raped on the happiest day of their life.

Providing these people aren't hurting anyone then I don't see the issue. Somebody who thought the idea was disgusting before they saw this documentary is hardly going to be well up for giving it a go now.

The majority of us know it happens; we know all sorts of things happen and discussing it won't change how we feel about it.

Stones, I believe, although fish may also be traded.

It was brought up on an episode of QI that penguins have been observed giving gifts of rocks to female penguins in order for the female to build herself a home, and in return the penguin gets to mate.

It has also been observed that some females realise they're on to a good thing and mate with many different partners for many different stones. :D

In my book - it is depravity - and quite frankly, I would be disgusted if any of my friends were to let me know that they indulged in it!

And I'm not a prude - I have a friend who was a working girl and who now still "looks after" some of her "older gentlemen" - that is her way of life.

Some people are exhibitionists, plain and simple. To indulge in this depravity with any Tom !!!!!! or Harry where unsuspecting members of the public could come upon them (mmmmm.......) is not considerate.

But hey - they aren't hurting anyone ......... that's what people were saying about "breaking in" underage children a few years ago.......

But there's a bit of a distinction between consenting adults and non-consenting children.

I think its disgusting that you have made the comparison between consenting adults and child abuse! Not to mention how hypocritical you come across, so its ok for women to sleep with any Tom D!Ck or Harry for money but not ok for them to do for free because they enjoy it?! Where is the logic in that?!

What about the women who just enjoy outdoor fun with their partners and enjoy people watching? Are mentally impaired or deprived? what about those who dont join in but just go along to watch?

I think you've got me mixed up with someone else mate in all of your ranting. I don't believe I said I thought they were mentally impaired or deprived, what I actually said was I think they are of a sub-human species.

You seem to be getting all steamed up about the subject so I can only imagine that you are a participant - otherwise why all the fuss and bother?

Can I ask that should you quote me in future you stick to the facts and point out when you have highlighted the original text. Thank you.

I suppose it could be argued that the women who charge for services have at least got some business sense and they don't tend to have multiple people watching and joining in.

all of this dogging stuff reminds me of the biker parties from the 70's where a couple of girls would go to all male parties which were normally held in fields and everyone would 'have a go' with them.

Dan you need to calm down before you do yourself a mischief.
