TV is always going to be a bit contrived. There was a Louis Theroux documentary about swingers, I seem to remember, but I thought that was more gently poking fun at them than judging them per se. I haven't seen the 'dogging' programme this thread is referring to. Shame old DoggerDan is no longer around to put his tuppenceworth in

You seem to be confusing sexual liberation for women and dogging where one instance has women who respect themselves but get what they want and the other instance doesn't.

This type of behaviour is what one would expect to find in a broken society since there doesn't seem to be a mental cut-out - just as you would find with animals, and I would not put dogging into the same pigeon hole as swinging actually.

As a member of society it does affect me because we are all supposed to be equal, and if that includes dogging as being an acceptable thing to do then that means I must be inadvertently caught up in it.

Yes but animals aren't fussy whom they fornicate with and in what circumstances, this is what sets us apart from the animal world.

By the same token then it would also be perfectly acceptable to kill others, engage in fights or steal food - all which animals will do without a second thought.

I don't know if swinging and dogging are similar things. Not my area of expertise :rotfl: But if you google-image dogging it's basically pornography, so I can see how it causes strong feelings.

I find it in very bad taste, personally, but they are (I presume) consenting adults. The only law they'd be breaking is public decency.

If you substitute animals for humans you'd be closer to the truth.

Animals do not copulate at any time other than when a female is in oestreus - and the sole intent is to procreate.

This does not appear to be the case with the the people who indulge in this type of activity.

This the case with 99%+ of human sex, I don't see what this type of activity has to do with it.

How can dogging be pornography? Unless it is being done just to produce film and photos of the act, which I doubt is the case most of the time.
It's just a different type of swinging, a bit grubbier and seedier than some types, but still swinging.

I can understand people being annoyed with it, if it affects you directly, but not if doesn't.
