As I understand the situation with the person I know, her OH left her with two children under 10. Paid no maintenance, but left her with a lot of bills. This was before universal benefits were available and as a good-looking young woman it was suggested by someone that she knew that she could work in London at a certain flat for the hours her children were at school.....She said it paid her well and kept the bailiffs away and her children fed!

I am not disappointed by you because that would mean I have some kind of relationship with you - which I don't because you are merely words on a computer screen.
You seem to be very wound up by these 'words on a computer screen'. Dan is putting across valid, pertinent views on an interesting subject. Different perspectives, raised in a discussion and debate on a topic, enable everyone to get the full picture and come to well informed conclusions on what is being looked at.

Nope Dan, there is no slanging match going on only debating remember? And as I recall you were the one to jump on my postings because you don't like what I have to say so you have yourself to blame for that. Feel free to put me onto ignore, I am not disappointed by you because that would mean I have some kind of relationship with you - which I don't because you are merely words on a computer screen.
I am perfectly calm, I'm sure it would be apparent if I wasn't. I do believe you find this an interesting topic because it is something you are thinking of doing so of course you want to defend it.
Thorsoak - the bouncy dog thing might turn out to feature in a whole new CH4 programme
Feel free to believe what you want, it makes not an ounce of difference to me, I defend peoples right to choose what they do with other consenting adults. I merely asked questions in relation to your opinion on the subject matter ie calling them sub human, if you didnt want people to question your thoughts on the subject perhaps you should of thought twice before posting? Anyhow I wont interact with you again so we can agree to disagree it really is not worth either of our time if the subject cant be debated properly.0 -
I am not wound up, just sitting scoffing ma mars bar

Not something I would do myself but hats off to her I say, I dont find it disgusting at all, oldest profession going. I just wish it could be legal so its made safer.0 -

But you didn't question my thoughts did you Dan? You just argued your own point. A tip if you want to debate is yes put your point across but also ask questions to see why people don't hold the same views as yourself - seeing as though we're all different and that.
Interestingly enough, you didn't seem to say anything about the poor unsuspecting partners sat at home. then again that would sort of ruin the enjoyment of it all wouldn't it?Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
It is not something I would ever do either. I do agree though that if prostitution were legalised, it would be far safer for the women who feel it is their only way to survive. Few choose to lead this kind of life. Many end up in this scenario from being in extremely vulnerable situations, which brings them into contact with people who take advantage of them, for monetary gain and can ultimately cause them alot of harm.
If it were legalised then these women could be helped to stay safe, and maintain their physical health. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. This isn't quite the same but thought it might entertain some of you.

And this one relates to this actual thread

Why? because its not for you? Id of thought modern society would embrace people's right to choose how they live their own lives? How does it effect your life anyways?
I agree with this. Dogging is not something I would wish to partake in but I have no issue with anyone who chooses to do this. Each to their own, they are not harming anyone. If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants ~ Isaac Newton0 -
I watched the programme, and tbh none of them looked especially happy.
I don't really see it to be any different from swinging tbh, its more like an outside version. Wouldn't do it personally (and i've done some...different sexual stuff  ) but i won't judge those who do. In regards to swinging more than dogging a lot of those people are very very happy with it, and there are some nice people that do it. They aren't "subhuman" or anything, they are just like you or me, they just get their kicks in different ways. Si i can imagine those who go dogging to be similar. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
