Our preschool will put invitations in children's bags for you, if you ask. And will also give you a list of which children your child plays with regularly so you have some idea of who to invite to parties! I guess once they're older they can tell you but my DD is awful - either just says one name or lists everyone she can think of as her "best friend" lol.

My son had a party on Thursday, and, out of almost 100 children invited, 36 confirmed they'd be there, 18 said they couldn't make it, and 3 parents texted after the party to apologise that they'd got the date wrong.
65 kids turned up in the end, but I'd booked a hall and a DJ so it didn't matter how many were there - the more the merrier really.
I'd made 80 party bags, which each contained a bulb, plant pot and small bag of soil, and a little bag of Haribos. My 2 had a great time on Friday planting bulbs in pots!
Our school won't hand out contact details for parents or anything, so you tend to find people chasing each other round the playground to confirm details etc. However, living in a small village means that everyone knows where everyone else lives, so if the worst comes to the worst, you go knocking on doors.
I always RSVP to invites as soon as we get them, otherwise I'll forget. The date is then marked on the calendar and popped into the calendar on my phone, as I have a mind like a sieve.
