Good morning Stitchers
I knew this month was going to be busy but it is MANIC.
Have barely had time to skim read the posts never mind reply to them but as usual I love seeing all the progress photos.
jcs kittens are so cute
sweetcarer Your latest Sandy Hook heart is lovely and I really admire your perseverance in completing them I'm sure they will be much appreciated
Maria Wow you have been busy - I know you said they are all small projects but what a lot you've completed I love them all but the cute reindeer really made me smile
I thought of you when I got my trial subs copy of Cross Stitch Gold as there is a rather nice London design which as I recall is not dissimilar to the ones you are planning to do - link here
pennib YOur sampler is lovely
pap Love your heart The difference in colour may not be due to your storage - some of the colour shades actually changed due to changes in legislation about dyes and dyeing processes that could be used. There is an interesting article about the changes here Well I think it's interesting
ailsb Well done on finishing the turtle
nmm the little bear is so cute. You have to look really hard to see what you mean about the colour differences but as there are so many different shades of pink in the design anyway no one will think there is anything wrongI love sparkly fabric - 2 of my current WiPs are being stitched on sparkly fabric
Louise Well done on the fundraising and belated happy birthday
Thanks for the WOCS review - my subs copy is still in the wrapper
Allthatglitters Welcome. The frame needs to be smaller than the fabric. I don't always use a frame but when I do I like the plastic snap ones like these or this
chicky Love the stitching saying though agree the surrounding design is not particularly suitable and too American for me.
Father's Day card is lovely and I couldn't see any unique features
caroline nice progress
winnie Pheasant cushion looks great and didn't take you long to finish.
great result with the job and better hours
beg a month for new threads to arrive is far too long IMHO

Me again - sorry.
I really need some advice. I hand washed m turtle and the lines didn't come out. I stitched it on DMC magic aida. I checked online and it said to machine wash at 40degrees, so I put in it a pilowcase with another large piece of aida that needed its fold line removing and washed it. End result is lines have faded but I can still see them and I now have 2 pieces of fabric full of creases that won't iron out.
1. Any ideas how I can get rid of the gridlines? Should I risk washing again?
2. How can I remove the creases from the fabric?
Word of warning, unless your design is going to cover all of your materialbyhink carefully about usinv Magic aida.
Off to Cubs now to carry on sulking. One things for certain I'm not going to stitch it again I hated the last few weeks of stitching it.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
