morning everyone, Ive finished the cushion front and im quite proud of it, just need to make it into a cushsion but its for hubbys grandma for christmas so no rush.

    20130518212139.th.jpg

were just about to do the long journey down to see hubbys grandma to say goodbye. Its going to be an emotional day and I just hope I can keep it together. I shall let you know later or tomorrow how it goes.

On the job front i was offered the new job at 30 hours per week so I asked the place where I am currently work and they are going to see if they can increase my hours which I would love but Im not holding out much hope.

Its lovely an sunny here today. I hope the weather is good for you where ever you are.
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!
    JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD

I have been watching the clock since before 4am this morning :( but at least if I feel the need for a snooze later, I can have one.

there are several things I have in mind to do today.... but at the moment I'm undecided.

I did some more stitching of my penguin last night - its just some odd bits of white left now and then the back stitch :T so hopefully at some point, I'll be able to sit down and do that.

FE I know how you feel, I've been up and about since 5am, trouble is I didn't nod off until after 2.30am (which was the last time-check I heard on my bedside radio). I'm feeling like poo with a cold and when I'm below par I get a bout of my depression - double whammy. Doesn't last long but while it does.....

Anyway enough self-pity :A. Itching to stitch but need to do some gardening first ! Making a card for an elderly lady's 84th birthday, it will be only the second card I've ever made so I'll post a pic before I send it (in case you all think it's rubbish !)

    nmm. Nice update, cute.

Winnie. Nice finish, look forward to seeing it made up as a cushion.
    All the best for today.
Best of luck with work giving you more hours.

FE. Look forward to seeing your finished Penguin.

Erics mum. I'm sure your card will be great!

    As for me.
No stitching here for a few days. Yesterday was spent in the kitchen. We made lots of progress, taking most of the painted woodwork out (to be replaced with bare varnished pine) and what was left had to be stripped back and sanded.
Hubby finished taking the tiles off the walls and is just finishing off this morning.
Was a long and dusty day. After clearing up and showering we didn't have tea till 10pm!

Though we have cake to look forward to after all the hard work, it's our Wedding Anniversary today so I thought a chocolate cake was in order :D

I hope to get some stitching in later while MotoGP is on.
