Nice one. Good luck to your and your friends.
PaP - love the heart design. Was it for your sister's birthday or am I dreaming?
Sorry I have succumbed and opened WOCS. Love the free kit - its a little blue tit. Right I must make a move and get started on the chores.

Maria, Ohh sounds good. Who/what are they for or is it just a design you like?
nmm, Wow thats a lot of colours but the bear looks so much better for it. How frustrating that your hand is in such pain
BEG, Yes its for my sister, part of her 30th birthday gift. I need to some how design my own letter's to write something on the finished design
So I have stitched three lines one with the current thread (3839 - which is actually blue), one with 157 (light purple) and 793 (purple same shade as current colour). I have decided on 157, it will give the finished design some variation and I am hoping it will make the design look purple :rotfl:

Hi ladies.
Thanks for all the support really appreciate it. Yesterday was very emotional and difficult but im glad we went. We were absolutely drained last night. I had every intention of stitching but I just couldn't concentrate so I thought it was best to leave it.
Going back to the stained glass windows now and im determined to finish it without starting another project. .........easier said than done.
I will post weekly pics of updates. Im hoping that will keep me on the straight and narrowI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0 -
Hi to everyone and well done on all the finished pieces. They are looking lovely and putting my poor progress to shame.
Spent a lovely day at the quilting show, managed not to spend too much but gained a lot of inspiration.
Only a short visit today.
Keep on stitching!

sweetcarer - love all the hearts you are doing. It's lovely to see how they all look in the different colours.
Maria - Beautiful finished works and such a range. I have just completed the keyring, will hopefully finish the japanese girl tonight and the reindeers are my next one on my list as fillers from when I am too tired to do my WIP.
Pap - the heart is gorgeous. It almost looks like it is made from lace, so intricate.
beg - good to hear your friend managed to do the RFL with a hip replacement. I am able to do loads of walking now which we love doing but running is a different matter, mind you I am running around after a 2 year old all day so that should help with training:D
Winnie - good luck with finishing your stained glass window.0 -
Marie - your finished items look lovely, you've been really busy.
PAP - the heart great, loking forward to seeing it finished.
Belated birthday and anniversary wishes to that had birthdays and anniversaries last week.
Winnie - sorry to hear your news but glad you made the journey.
I've finished the turtle - YAY. will wash the grid lines out and then post a photo. Have started my next one, its one for me - its a Maia design called The Water Carrier. I'll try to find a picture and link to it.

Maria, some lovely pieces you've done there
BEG, I like the blue tit freebie also, will look forward to stitching that one
Well I took an ibuprofen and completed the pink bear minus the details. The photo is without the flash so you can see the true colours :j

PAP, I too had a slight issue with my threads, I ran out of pink so got a new skein from my stash and its slightly darker. If you look closely at the criss cross and diagonal hearts, the left is the old skein, the right is the new skein.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Lovely update nmm - looks great with the sparkly fabric. :T Hope your finger gets well soon.
Got most of (if not all) the words stitched now on Lets Do Wine.
