i can see a bird image and a keep calm and keep stitching key ring when i click on those links is that what you want us to see?

i use photo bucket, i click on the thumbnail list of letters and numbers copy that and paste it over here and mine show as photos. im not techy so thats the best way i can think of describing it

if you got some squared paper you could perhaps play round with the design till it fits
ive just googled free cross stitch bird patterns is there anything here you could adapt?
    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=free+cross+stitch+bird+patterns&safe=off&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=YYyUUdK3GqGr0QXhj4C4CQ&ved=0CDAQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=911

i like your little keyring, yes you could add a border of cross stitches but that would add to the time it would take to make. are you selling or gifting them? just wondering as if you are selling them it would up the costs as you wouldnt be covering the time they took to make.

Swallow and keyring is right. The logo is for someones business so I think it has to be tha tparticular image. Struggling to find graph paper here but will see what I can do!! I thought of adding a border to the keyring too as the wording didn't take up as much room as I thought it would.

  • PaP - thanks for comments on Sleeping Beauty. It is quite large - I think it might be something like 25" x 19" but it is on 11ct which helps. Has 8 A4 sheets - 6 done and 2 still to do. I am enjoying it but having a little break as there is a deadline for Lets Do Wine and MS 12 Days of Xmas whereas SB is just for me. Just block my ears when DH comments that the refurbished bedroom still looks unfinished - I don't say anything now - just gave him one of those looks. Looking forward to seeing your heart update.

BEG, It looks quite big, it looks about the same size prob bigger than London. Compared to me doing that you are speeding along! Good to have a break, I think I had two on my last two large pieces, its good to tackle something else. Am I right in thinking lets do wine is a gift? and the 12 days is for the timed challege, the one I am supposd to be doing the christmas angel for :rotfl: Typical men :p Do they not understand that stitching comes before any of that, as long as he is fed and clothed :D

I am looking for some advice please. Someone has asked me if I could transfer a motif into a cross stitch keyring design but not sure how to do it.
    photo.php?fbid=518473584866906&mode=contain&width=468&height=468 ANy ideas?

Emma, have you thought about this programme. Someone reccomended it to me a few pages back. Download it using the page to the left, NOT the download button at the bottome of that page ;) Worth a go!

THanks guys. WHen I try to convert it into cross stitch, it loses the definition. Will have to try and do it in backstitch and then maybe fill it in somehow.

Thanks for all the links and help though.

The keyring was just a trial although someone has said if I can do it in pink, she wants one!!!

Here's a little pic of a card I did last week for my friends 65th birthday. I think it was a free kit from a recent WOCS mag.

No stitching here today so far but as soon as we have had our meal and got the washing up done ...................... :D

Came across these earlier and thought of some of the ladies in the Cafe - would look rather well on the wall of a craft/stitching room. :D

Will NOT be held responsible for anyone adding to stashes. :p

Been awake from 4am as I was so warm and couldn't sleep. So came downstairs and got a load of washing on, was going to start cleaning and then had second thought and decided to stitch instead...lol

Don't know if any of you belong to the HAED facebook group, but there is a lady called Prunella Puddlejump that appears every so often and drops into your inbox with a free HAED chart from your wishlist. I was lucky this time and got Christmas Eve...
