I have a feeling this that in one issue of I believe the world of cross stitch they gave away a little flippy book of book mark designs and I think this one was in it but don't hold me to that, I maybe wronge. I did have it but binned it when we moved house as I knew I would never use it! I will have a look on eBay and see if I can see the thing I mean13 in 2013 challenge 9/130

Off for an early night now , I'm reading the complete works of Sherlock Holmes at the moment anyone else got any good books on the go?[/QUOTE]
I'm currently reading 'Alligators, old mink and new money' One woman's adventures in vintage clothing. It's non-fiction but thoroughly enjoying it! As a second-hand junkie it's right up my street. I read eight books on holiday, the best by far was 'The Time Travellers Wife' I just couldn't put it down and cried my eyes out for the last fifty pages
Have managed a litle stitching this week, been working on my Paris kit but will get back to my map at the weekend. Off to see Dirty Dancing in Canterbury tomorrow but no plans for Sunday.Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -

Cottage - my square for Pat's Quilt by stitchyfeather, on Flickr
In my sewing group we are making a quilt for a member with a special birthday in May. The theme is homes and gardens and we all picked a note with either house or garden and then had to make a quilt square on that theme. We were also given a colour range so that the squares will blend. The deadline was March 31st and I got mine in on 30th  Lots of different techniques have been used - patchwork, stitchery, embroidery, applique and I think it will look wonderful. One of the group is putting it together and we are then sending it to be professionally quilted - can't wait to see it when it comes back.
I haven't done a lot of stitching in March but I did manage to stitch the March section of my 10 11 12 to 11 12 13 project. Of course it is now time to work on the April section....

It was indeed me, it was finished but I still haven't had it framedThat was finished over 5 months ago and the eye was finished way before that. I have been following you all from the sidelines but as I haven't picked up my needle in a while I have just been reading and not posting. I stoped stitching because of taking on an NVQ at work and then I thought I would start to handmake all xmas gifts, well thats not happening now so if you will have me I am back on the x-stitch wagon
