Was going to do a shop at Mr T to take advantage of the recent glitches, but they have taken them off online. I did have a five pound odd spend at B and M on some bits i otherwise would have got from SM or AF. I will add to sig at some point when i have checked receipt. I got some bargains ... Colgate toothpaste (59p), kilo of pasta hoops (69p) and tricolor pasta (39p). Two packs of Baked stars 69p, wheelie bin liners 69p, rum flavoring for baking cupboard (39p), deodorant (99p) and a drink for before the course; and my best buy, a YS tiger loaf for 20p.
Back on the same course tomorrow, so possibly a few more spends at either Mr T or Asd*, as need apples for DD's pack lunches and not very often i get to shop instore , completely alone! I'm an online shopper mostly.

Just finished catching up after our hols last week - that was a cheap week GC wise because it comes from a different budget. Back last Fri and spent £27.20 in L!dl, £1 in Sainsburys on 8 packs of wipes (! :j ) using my baby club voucher plus taking advantage of the offer on, and this Mon spent £1.35 on celery and herbs for dinners. Taking me to £127.45 so far.

It's really easy to make
Thankyou for this, I was inspired last night to make these instead of popping to the shop because I'd forgotten naans off my weekly shop. They were a hit and hubby has taken one in to work with some leftovers saving us on a packed sarnie too.MFW start date:22.6.13 - £138555 9.7.13 - £125937

Individual baked syrup sponge puddings (serves 4)
2 eggs
100g self-raising flour, sifted
100g butter or marg
100g caster sugar
4 tbsp golden syrup
Preheat the oven to 180C. Pour a tablespoon of golden syrup each into the bottom of four oven-safe ramekins. Beat the sugar with the eggs (I used an electric whisk but obviously you can do it by hand), add eggs one at a time and continue to beat well until smooth. Fold in the flour gently until combined.
Spoon over the golden syrup in the ramekins and bake for 30 minutes, until golden and cooked through. To serve, I removed from the ramekins and inverted. Served with ice-cream but I suspect custard would be even better!
Edited to say it just occurred to me that you could try making these with jam or lemon curd in place of the syrup - might try that nextCiaerda:T0 -
