Hi all - had a nice time in Leeds and had a good chat with my friends so that was really nice. We're all skint so just went out for v short time! Still feeling quite down, but it was good to be able to talk about it a little.
Hope all have had a good weekend - will go off and catch up on all the news now. Just got back - the roads were quite clear which was a relief!

Pfft, bloomin'g doctor's receptionists. I thought it was just our local surgery but obviously they think they are some high up power everywhere. I just say it is an emergency and when they ask why i tell them it's private.
Our local surgery has just been refurbished but until recently the reception desk was split in two with a small wall between the appointmnets desk and the prescriptions desk. Now, don't get me wrong - the whole room wasn't split, just a line of bricks on the counter to split the counter. So...you used to go in and stop at the first hole where there would be a receptionist sat and you would say "I would like to make an appointment.." at which point she would say "Sorry, this is prescriptions, you need to move along" so you would move a single step to the next hole, whereupon the same woman would slide her wheeled chair along and say as if you hadn't already spoken to her "Yes, how can I help you?"
Honestly...they could have leaned over and done it. It was like something out of a sitcom. Luckily these days they are all technologicalised and I can check in without even having to speak to a receptionist!0 -
Hi all
Still not fully back to myself but today (for the first time in quite a while now) I feel a little brighter - think I'm coming out of the particularly bad cycle now thank goodness. I need to track these so I can tell teh dr - this one has been about 2 weeks long now - grrr. However, in a while I should then be feeling fabulous, able to do anything so that nice lol!!!
I think I need to make some plans of action. I really want to get back in the swing with the house, and also with reading to my DD - whenever I go through a bad patch, my routines go out the window, we all eat terrible food and I don't spend enough time with the kids. So this week I want to read to her every night, whether it is her school (boring) book or from the lion the witch & the wardrobe. which she is loving!
I have been reading Hypnos thread about the housework, so will be trying to get back to flylady and being a little more sorted. I CANNOT leave things to OH - he's put our (queensize) sheet on DD's bed and left us with no sheet, one is in the wash and we only have 2 that fit - grrrr. Should be grateful - last time this happened, he forgot to put any sheet on her bed! Fortunately she has a matress protector that is soft!
Money wise I need to start planning a spreadsheet for spending diary and get sorted - am going to start a full on one come end of Nov for my new incomings. Should hopefully give me a little more control. Got quite a few letters to write to family as well so aim to do that this week at some point.
Not been to my slimming world class for over 3 weeks now so would like to go tomorrow and get back into healthy eating again.
I hope all are well. Sorry if my diary has been a little dull recently!

At least you are coming out of this one, Sea.....as you say, you will soon be bounding around and back on top of things big time!
I do know what you mean though - even just a few days of feeling low throws everything out of sync, and it becomes a vicious cycle, with those things then making you feel worse etc.
Good luck with the action plans xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Sea
Big hugs for you love! I have my first appointment with a counsellor tomorrow. Which will hopefully be the first step in getting me back to normal, I need my normal head.
I can understand your routines going wrong and the same with food. Although according to my Dr there is medical proof that when we are down we eat junk food because it releases 'happy' chemicals into our brains.
I don't think that the weather helps at this time of year, I am sat in the office and it's dark and raining outside and i would rather be in bed. I have period's where things seem much worse and then days when things are better. Just try to make the most of things while you feel good.
But I am always here, I understand. PM me if you need to talk.

Thanks you too - I'm at work (a free lesson!) and am now blubbing lol!
When I finally get that app (think probably thursday) I'm going to discuss whether the meds I'm on are actually the best thing, as i've been reading a little on the net and I think that maybe other types of meds would be more suitable.I've missed the board as well - I know I've been on and about, but I dont' really feel like I've been 'here'. Anyway, Im probably sounding even more mad now so will stop!

Hi
My Dr recommended that I look at this website http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/
there is loads of info for you and for family/employers, it discusses the different ways of treatment and what may work best for you.
