Hi Sea ...sorry to hear things are no better but you may get an appointment tomorrow..I hope so...that's a good thing that work is ok at the moment so that's one more thing sorted for you...Will they give you an emergency prescription instead...just a thought ...take care xx0

Well, receptionist said that my reasons for my ap meant it wasn't an emergency - does anyone else really resent having to share the most private parts of your life with the receptionist before they will allow you to have an app? Anyway, I couldn't get one so will have to try again next week. Was really upset about that. Off to Leeds shortly to see a friend and one of my kind of like mum's who is over from america for a week so that'll be nice. Wasn't going to go but feeling a little more up to it now as I have found some energy from somewhere!
Hope all are well.

Next time you see your doctor, have a good moan about the receptionists/appointment system. That often brings change. If it doesn't - move. There's loads of GPs out there."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Commiserations sea. I've had that with doctors' receptionists too. Now I just pretend I have some life-threatening condition in order to get an appointment.
Hope you have a good time seeing your friend and your energy levels continue to rise. Not that long now til the Christmas holiday.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
hi hope you get to see your doctor soon and he/she can help.
In my surgery we have to ring up on the day we want an appointment at 8.30 which means you can't ever get through till an hour later. Worst is you can't pre book appointments for later days. Was once asked could i wait two weeks as my doctor was on holiday for 2 weeks and they'd rather i didn't see another one. Surprisingly enough they got short shrift from me.0 -
HI Sea ..sorry to hear that you couldn't get an appointment...the systems are really stupid now...I think all surgeries run like this...It's impossible for me to phone my surgery at that time as that is school time on the taxi...They are used to me now and I go into reception and just book what they can give me...though I'm very firm with them...I tell them 6am is a convenient time for me to call or after 6pm ..so will have to use the out of hours instead...they usually give in then...good luck...0
