Well, off to Beacon fell for a picnic with the kids today - homemade of course
Should be nice if the weather holds.
Then into town to pay CCCS and the dreaded library (will finally get that done!!).
Then I'll be on later to do a to-do list for the weekend, which unfortunately has to include marking the yr 9 assessments grrr. Not my fav activity!
Hope all have a good day - am loving this faster board - it's great!CCCS DMP:Feb 07

Beacon Fell was WONDERFUL. Free (apart from the petrol to get there of course but did get good MPG!!) and the picnic was a sucess too. Also did lots of walking, although forgot the pedometer so not sure how many steps I did. We climbed to the top, ds did the most walking of his life and is shattered
and DD was a superstar as usual. Of to the PO, docs and library now! Must go...
Having this as a little record is so motivating! Sorry if it's a little dull, but I'm loving writing it!! lol :rotfl:

No, it's not dull - I love reading about your progress! Did you make it to the library? Your day out sounds lovely, and very DFW!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

HI
I did make it to the library - all sorted2 mins to spare as well so got some books and the kids ran round and got some too. Total fine - £4.11, won't be doing that again!!
Also sent the dvds and paid the dmpThere is a gala here tomorrow and the kids can wear fancy dress, so guess what I'll be doing tonight
But they get 3 free ride tickets if they go on the procession in fancy dress so all very dfw.
I can not believe it but I said I'd lost the wrong disc for lovefilm - how silly - so I'll be emailing again tonight telling them I made a mistake!! How daft!!
Off to feed kids and collect OH from work now.
Gosh it's sticky here - I hope the rain holds off so it's nice for the procession tomorrow though.

Glad you got it sorted - the fine is a bit of a pain though! What are your kids going dressed as?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

DD is going as a princess (of course) but hadn't really thought about ds - he's a nightmare and would probably pull things off but should make the effort!! Any suggestions?
He's nearly 22 months and a little tyke so a devil outfit might be appropriate, but I have nothing suitable.

When all else fails we send ds as a ghost (sheet with holes in it) or a vampire (white shirt, black trousers, black cape (piece of black material), and lipliner to make it look like he has blood dripping from his mouth! Bit halloweeny but he likes it lol.
Has he got a football kit? He could go as a footballer. Or tear some holes in some very old jeans and t-shirt, spike his hair and send him as a punk!
Can't think of anything else but will let you know if I think of anything."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Sounds like you have had a really good day. I hope the weather holds for you tomorrow and that you are able to write an equally motivating post tomorrow evening x
PS sorry, have never been any good at fancy dress ideas.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Thanks
The punk sounds rather good - specially with his hair!! lol!
I'm praying for good weather. We all walked down to the garage at the end of our road as I spied the carnival queen's float was being done up. They were so kind and lovely to dd I almost cried. One woman let her sit on the throne and pink chair and pointed out all the little decorations. DD of course was speechless until we came home when she told me that when she grows up she wants to be a carnival queen!!
I've been trying to think of more things to dress him in, but all his clothes come from s-i-l and are quite plain (but lovely!!). Hmmm....
