Thanks:)
Went and did great tesco shop - inc baby milk was under £36 (used lots of vouchers too) - can't believe how much has changed regarding the food shopping!
HoweverI did overspend today - I'd put aside a little money for an Ikea trip (so saved the lunch money but spend £2 more than I thought it would be) and then spent double what I planned to (planned£10, spent just under £20) - so while I do have the money, I had wanted to save it towards barclaycard. Feeling a little annoyed but (justify justify) did get a lot of great stuff - things that will make life much easier AND I put back about 90% of the things I wanted and picked up and also went through my trolley at the end and got rid of more stuff.
So slowly learning...at least it wasn't as bad as the £100odd I'd spend without thinking about it before lbm.
Today I need to ring lovefilm and also am going to try to pop to the library to sort that out once and for all. It's been praying on my mind so will be glad to get it paid off and then I can start June's spending diary (going to do a PROPER one) and write it all down on my little notepad (freebie).
I'm going to sort out the kids fancy dress clothes now, weed out the stuff they don't use and then take that to the charity shop, while also popping all the still used sutff in the new pop up basket! We've gone through 4 of the £1 ones, so £3.99 for one that's sturdy was ok I thought.
DS is in a fab mood today and was a peach in Ikea - ran away though at one point - little tyke!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day - this sunshine really makes things seem better!

Wow Sea ...well done for that...you are doing great....surprising how attitudes change when we really think about the money we are spending/wasting...brainwashing springs to mind....it's so good to be in control ..isn't it?0

All seems good in the house of SEA78 - fab reading, and you sound so positive and strong!
You are working through your list far quicker than I am through mine. I must try harder :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well Done!!!!
It wouldn't let me cancel online I had to ring them. But saved on postage as they were already on the way back.

Hi Sea, you have been sounding so much more positive over the last few days, I'm really pleased for you. Well done for sorting Lovefilm out, it's great when you can cross things off your 'to do' list.....almost as good as paying debts off!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

It is at the mo as the debt thing is annoying me as it's all through CCCS so can't overpay - which is what made me think of the barclaycard fund.
Lucy - I've had to ring to cancel last time so was surprised that they let me do it online! Perhaps it's because I'd already lost one of the discs!
Hypno - all is good on the wholeGot PMT looming soon I fear so all might change lol. I have a short list though and need to expand, but one thing at a time!
Taxi - it's great to finally feel in control again. It feels like the last 6 months of my life have been a daze, I'm sure it'll seem like that still at times but I know that, too, will pass. Actually finally feel a little at peace with myself! Sounds silly I know but it's how I feel. Sorting things a little with OH has made me realise I really don't want it to end, I want to sort it all out if at all possible.
AND guess what???? Ikea's pop up bin has alreayd paid for itself - I sorted through the dressing up clothes and at the bottom of the borken old pop up bin was the lost library book!!So I don't have to pay for it now and just have one book to pay a fine on now. HURRAY! Will go tomorrow when DD is off nursery as then we can get more books out and it can be an outing. Also don't want take on too much today
:rotfl:
Thanks for all the lovely comments:)
