Hi Sea
Well, at least you're mostly writing about "ups" - sorry that you're feeling bleagh, tho, thats never good. Is it a lurgy, do you think? I felt terrible this morning, but fine now, and the same last week. Fantastic about finding the £100, thats a *lot* to find.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
HI all
Had nice post this morning - another cheque from survey company for £3 ad while looking for my boots vouchers I 've found a cheque I didn't cash (how?) for £27 that I got froma survey site a few weeks ago - so I'm going to cash them and then take the £30 for the barclaycard savings
Not up to much - off for a walk with the kids and a bit of (hopefully mostly free!) shopping.
Frustrated as no scrapping supplies arrived today so looks like I'll be rushing the CJ at the start of next week. Grr.

Hi
Well, am physically exhausted after walking about 5 miles today -took us (me and Sophia - William was in pushchair) about 2 hours. Then we took an age round the shops and about another 2 hours later we got the bus home. Phew. I had to walk right round a long way as there are no pavements on the main routes which is very frustrating. However, Sophia went straight to sleep tonight
William was not so great...
I had a good day spends wise.
Sophia bought herself a drink and some smarties on route and then we had a chat about what she'd like to save her money for - she didn't know. She picked up a Tarzan and Jane DVD but wasn't convinced so we left that. I'd opened her sealed pot (tin from poundshop that we've been putting pennies in for, no lie, about 3 years
) this morning and we counted up what she had - about £9 altogether.
Spent:
Wilkos - £4.29 but this was budgeted as was posh bin liners and some non-scratchy hairbands for Sophia given that she still has lots of scabs in her hair - she'll need them when she goes back to school. This is therefore from grocery and clothes budget.
Boots - bought a few bits and pieces for my friends nappy cake - did it in two transactions so I got 2 vouchers. Also used double point coupon - used the 2 vouchers and have a pound left, but also spent £2 - so total spend was £21 but in 'real' cash only £1.I still have to get a few bits, but I have a WHSmith voucher that I can use to get ribbon etc.
Spent 40p in WHSmith on crisps for a screaming William - Sophia bought her own
Then in Argos I had a £10 voucher - I got a hair dryer for just under £4 (great as it means that the expensive haircut my mum paid for can now be shown off!!) and then Sophia saw a bargain - roller skates half price - £10. I paid £4 and she put in the £6 from her savings(she had been so good) so I only spent £4 but that was from her so doesn't count.
Then I went a bit off target and popped into B & M bargains - which is my kind of heaven - very good cheap bargainatious (yes, I know it's not a word!!) kind of shop
I got a couple more bits and pieces for the nappy cake, as well as an umbrella for William, which was not a planned buy, but by this point I was kind of losing the will to live lol so anything for quiet life! But only spent just under £7 there so that's ok. I got a gorgeous blanket and outfit for the baby for £1.99 which was great. Also for little washcloths (8) for 99p which will look gorgeous on the cake.
So in all I only spent the £30 vouchers, £1 in Boots, £7 in B&M on actual 'present' or non- budgeted items - £8 'real'money which is covered by the £16 transferred over. I will also use the rest to buy ribbon and for the postage. Still got a little on the Whsmith voucher so will be using that for a card - possibly ribbon if there is any there.
Phew - sorry to be so dull and detailed! Helped me to see what's what so I can figure it all out. OH nearly forgot - HOW expensive is the bus?!!! £2.55! No wonder people use their cars - I was naughty and didn't mention Sophia was now 5 as I was so amazed that it was that cost! 20 min ride. Was a surprise! So £10.95 including bus and crisps.
Arrived home, OH was plastering in our bedroom, so that's coming along nicely. He just rang me (gone out with mates to Blackpool) and told me there was a package in the car - it was my scrapping order
Better get on with marking tomorrow so I can do some. Gorgeous paper (all in the sale section of course!) and a little book. I'm v happy. Also got another prize from the thorntons advent calender - a coconut body butter, which is a fab size and I'll be using for hampers/presents in the future.
Anyhoo, I'll stop waffling now and continue to enjoy Forrest Gump on tv

ooh lucky you! I would love to live within walking distance of the sea - especially now with the refurb it all looks so gorgeous! The difference is amazing.
OH needs to go to get some DIY shops tomorrow so I might convince him to go via Blackpool so I can pop to boots and get my freebies from the vouchers I got today. There was nothing left in the little one in Cleveleys!
