Happy New Year all! Hope you're all feeling ok today

I went to bed about 10.30ish last night - very early! Good job though as OH woke me continually from 1.30-3.15am. I can't take any more from him,. i'm going to ask him to go to his mums for a while as I just can't take the emotional blackmail and the abuse anymore. he needs to get help and I can not do anything further to help. He was threatening suicide last night and I've had it.

So onwards and upwards today anyway. Children are up and dressed, so as soon as the weather improves we'll pop out for a walk. Will use today as an organising day My bessie mate and her two kids are coming from cardiff tomorrow to stay for a few days and i can't wait!! Been over 7 months since we last saw each other so will be really nice to catch up and also some thing to look forward to. Need to get the rooms ready for her arrival as well today. Didn't do any thank you cards last night so need to them as well!! Might as well write my to do list:

*Thank you cards
*Washing, drying, putting away!
*Change spare bedsheets and our bed too.
*Check prices of new doors.
*Prevent myself from kicking OH up the bum and out the house.
*Play some of DD's new games with her

Sorry to hear about OH but I think you've made the right decision. He needs help. Hope it's not traumatic for you and the kids getting him to go.

Glad to hear your friend is coming - and good luck with the list, don't try too hard to achieve the second last item though!

Just realised I need to wrap my friend's DD's birthday pressies today as well so will need to be getting on with that too. Will no doubt have to amend my list a few times so will see how it goes for now.

I too went to bed at 10.30!! The fireworks briefly woke me after midnight but I soon went back to sleep!

I hope you have a good day, and be strong when it comes to OH. You have taken more than anyone would expect you to take so put yourself first today.

It will do you good to have your friend there as well....loads of girlie goss!!

aww hugs for you Mrs but possibly will make him do something? Unfortunately you cant do it for them and need to protect you & the children...not easy though! Dont forget if you come to see best mate to come see me too!! Hope you have a lovely time with her and that it gives you the strength for the months ahead Wish I could do something to help ther than send hugs - I know what its like (although no children) & while the decision in my situation was pretty much made for me I dont regret it for a minute & havent looked back since! Dont overdo it though with stuff - pace yourself

sorry to hear about your oh. He just dosnt 'get it' does he? Maybe him taking a few days out from the house will help you but also help him a little? I hope your day improves hun.

The party was nice thanks. I got to meet some new - and nice - neighbours and relive all my childbirth experiences with a drunk midwife! Only slightly hungover now and just gearing up to write a new year's post on my diary.

I've been fiddling with my signature and am not very happy with it - too many numbers! Perhaps I should delete all the individual totals but I am very attached to them!

Morning Sea, and Happy New Year. I think you've made the right decision to get some time to yourself. I read the beginning of your diary last night as I only started reading it in about August so I see more of the background now and it looks like you've had this to put up with for a while. Not trying to be funny but will the kids notice too much anyway? You seem to do a lot of things without any help or support.

Anyway, I need to mind my own business more! Hope your friend coming will give you a boost. Enjoy it!
