  • Pop into local locksmith / key cutter, our local shop has a bunch of keys that can be borrowed (with a small deposit) to take home and test

If you have any similar sized keys, insert them and apply a small amount of torque whilst rattling the key in and out. That might just allow you to unlock them.

Obviously do not use much force for this.

You mention 'downstairs windows' - are the upstairs similar or do they have any key at all?? Try them if so - they'll probably work.

Take the handles off and replace them, new handles are only £3.40 from Toolstation.

  • We recently found a website (sorry not sure what called but if you google lost window keys it will come up), we emailed them a photo of the handle and they emailed back which key we needed. We just bought 2, at a few pounds each. They are a bit of a tight fit, but we can use them.

Ours are lost too - I use a old suitcase key.

Mostly any thin metal item will open them though!

    Super secure - not lol

The window locks will be standard brands - nothing to do with the company that went bust. If there are any manufacturer names on the ones you can open it will help ID the key you need.
Window locks use pre-cut keys which are approx £1.50 to £3 each, we stock approx 50 different types.
Let me know if you are still needing a key or pm/email me a photo of the locks on the outside and the side view if you can open any of them and I can try to ID them for you. Failing that we also stock a window key set of all 50 on one ring!

Offering to ID the lock and what key is required free of charge is not spam.
I am more than happy to post a free window key once we know which one is required.

We ID locks all the time with photo's - it doesn't force anyone to buy anything. Least of all a key that costs 40 pence....

You can "fluff" it up any way you like but your sig has your website on it. Your spamming Mathew ,try reading the rules.

Where exactly does your original post say you will "post free of charge"?. Your spamming mate and your post won't stay up, guaranteed.
