Well Torry Quine, you are a very good girl scout. My lack of preparation and penchant for tiny handbags usually leads me to fail in such areas!
I thought condoms would be a funny thing to put in. 60% of my guests were 25-30 and have a similar sense of humour. My bridesmaid gave me and hubby some as part of our wedding gift! As it happens, most of my friends are also in loving relationships and no random get togethers occurred at the wedding. Clearly such things are dependant on your wedding guests but I don't think there's any need to be so judgy about consenting adults having responsible sex!
I have danced many times in flip flops and never hurt myself! Again, if your guests are going to have a quiet shuffle on the dance floor, it's different to an all out mosh pit!0 -

Ahhhh, we are having a ceilidh and I'm pretty sure if people tried that in flip flops there would be endless injuries :rotfl:
Glad your wedding went well and your guests felt taken care of and appreciated your gesture0 -

Obviously we have a very different sense of humour as I wouldn't find condoms funny in that situation. If someone had given me some as a wedding gift then I would seriously wonder what they thought of me that I wasn't capable of getting them if needed. It's not a case of being judgy about sex but that a wedding reception is neither the time or place.
No idea what a mosh pit is, sorry. Personally I find flip-flops as hard to walk in as high heels.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Why would you be putting it on though. I presume it would be applied in the morning when dressing.
People do all sorts of things I wouldn't do myself......I doubt*just* the offer of a condom would make them do it however...........as for the deodorant- excellent idea ! It's amazing how many people THINK because they had a quick spray eight or ten hours earlier that they are still nice to be near on a dance floor or at a dinner table !!!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I didn't say that just the offer of a condom would make people have sex who wouldn't otherwise, it's more the idea that people may be the type to have sex with someone they've just met at a wedding!!
If someone is the type who needs to reapply deoderant surely they would come prepared rather than hoping it would be supplied.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

You know, I must be a simple sort.
At any wedding I've been to, just shove me outside with a glass of champagne and a cigarette and I'm happy."I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
One would indeed hope so ...........but why take the risk ? Have you never stood nest to someone on a train or in a theatre and wished they had ? Weddings can be very long days with travelling-and for men jackets all day. For the sake of a tenner -why not ?
It's all very well talking about what people *should* do .........but not everyone always does what they should...or even has the same idea of what is appropriate as you !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

My kind of wedding guest ...... I'm sure without the word "should" there were be a lot less stress and far fewer bride/mum-zillas !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I totally disagree about the deodorant thing. Just spraying deodorant on if you already smell is not going to get rid of the smell...if anything the mingling of BO and chemical smells will be even worse! The only thing that will get rid of sweat smell is soap and water, not another spray of deodorant!
What a strange thing we have ended up discussing...0 -

That's the thing with weddings....you get all types attending !!
Presumably the types likely to pull at a wedding are not the same ones likely to need the deouderant ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
