Have you tried calling them to ask?
  • I'm after a basic dell machine but just want the pc, mouse, and keyboard.
That’s it I’m getting a lcd touch screen so I’ve no need for one.
Plus if anyone knows where I can get a cheep LCD touch screen that would be very helpful as well.

I added my old DVR-106 DVD writer inside my new Dell 3000. Was a piece of cake. The mounting is there for a 2nd drive, and all the cables. You just need the drive and a couple of screws :)
    Be nice

Good to hear about the 2nd drive in the 3000, will add one to my new one too.

I used to have Creative 5.1 surround sound on my old computer and was wanting to upgrade to a better sound system than the two dell speakers supllied with the 3000.

Does anyone know if I can I just buy a new speaker kit or will I need to buy a PCI sound card too? If so, any pointers to a decent speaker kit and card would be great.

    Thanks in advance
