  • How were you refunded? I thought there was no cover for this sort of thing?

I put a Buyer Claim in as the guy never sent me the code and then suddenly became 'no longer registered on eBay'.

One day later and Paypal advised me that I had been refunded. They had contacted the seller.

Obviously in cases of fraud Paypal wont cover you for 'electronic voucher' transcations, BUT as the guy at itunesvouchers.co.uk has actually responded to AV forums stating that it was an error, things look hopeful.

  • Im sorry, but I don't think things look hopeful. The guy has obviously just run. Theres no response from any account in three days, and I haven't had one of the vouchers I was promised.

If I am allowed to keep the Lost Season 3 I bought, which has equivalent value of £32.99, I'll be less than £10 down on the deal, and I would not bother trying after that. I just want to get the balance cleared from iTunes and they have not got back to me yet...
  • The same guy at itunesvouchers.co.uk is back selling these on eBay under the username: digitalproducts-2008.

It has a buy now link for £27 which goes to giftvouchersuk.co.uk

    All very weird !!!

That just an affiliate link not the giftvoucheruk seller.

Affiliates get 15% comission from the £27 fee.

Hover over the link in the listing and in the website address shown it has aff=1877 which is their affiliate id and is how sales are tracked to them so their comission is paid.

If there are potential problems with the codes I'd rarther buy direct from the giftvoucheruk seller than someone who has no control of the codes to help with any problems.

  • I've emailed the guy 5 times - no reply. If he's giving refunds or trying to sort a dodgy batch why doesn't he just send an email to us disgruntled customers to that effect? Or post something in the thread? Very, very poor.
  • Anyone with any news?

Cant see anything on AV Forums (as previously stated) - has the itunesvouchers guy just disappeared, or is he still tying to resolve the problem?

  • Nah hes done a runner, clearly. Wouldn't have taken anything to post a group email to everyone. I'm a fair few down, but thats the risk you take I guess.
  • I read somewhere in the threads that people had bought vouchers then found a little while later their card details had been used fraudulenty. Bought my £21 quids worth using paypal on his web page.

Does anyone think it's time to change cards?

Paypal DO NOT divulge your card details to a seller so you're perfectly safe if you've paid via PP.
  • why is http://www.giftvouchersuk.com/ not been taken down as it is still selling illegal codes? Has it been reported? Can someone report it to Apple, I can't find their email address.
