I guess it doesn't help that Paypal is shocking when it comes to any aspect of Customer Service, and that none of these places respond on a Sunday.
Do you think I can get a chargeback with a debit card?0 -

Q , What is paypal buyer protection ?.</IMG> PayPal Buyer Protection is designed to help buyers recover funds from eBay sellers who do not deliver the promised goods, or who deliver goods that are significantly not as described in the listing. PayPal Buyer Protection covers payments for tangible, physical goods that can be shipped. All other payments, such as payments for intangibles, for services or for licenses and other access to digital content are not covered.
If i'm reading Paypals terms correct it seems as it's not an item that can be shipped / delivered, (it's a code / ebook/ download), that no buyer protection is available.
Also the above is for Ebay purchases, as the majority of purchases were through the website I doubt a protection even more.
EDIT :-</IMG> What does PayPal Buyer Protection cover?
Question : Answer :</IMG> PayPal Buyer Protection covers tangible, physical items or goods that can be shipped, other than a motor vehicle or an item prohibited in the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy. PayPal Buyer Protection coverage does not extend to any other items, such as intangible goods, services, gift certificates, downloadable or streamed content.

To be honest, as long as I know I am not in legal trouble with iTunes (one could say this comes under the premise of - unknowingly - handling dodgy goods) I will be happy. And since I know most people who have had their accounts disabled are back in business, I hope things are ok.0 -

But, apart from that, will iTunes be ok with me?0

Hi guys,
Just an update on this, I had a voucher sent to me on friday evening (purchased wednesday I think) I was away for the weekend. I just logged in and spent the voucher down to 74p from the £100. No problems and not been diasbled as yet.
I left in the 74p to log in tomorrow to see is it either gone or if I'm banned.
Will let you know if anything unusal happens over the next few days, but on the face of it all seems fine.Nice to save.0 -
after hearing about disabled accounts, i didnt redeem mine.
I emailed itunes support about it and this is their replyI understand you have seen on a forum that vouchers bought from a certain person were found to be illegally obtained. I also understand you received the code "*****************" from this seller and have yet to redeem it. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. At this time, no one has reported an issue regarding this gift code. You can make purchases on the iTunes Store with your iTunes Gift Certificate.0 -
Meh. Apple appear to have given the go-ahead to use it, I would spend it mate.0

Not ALL iTunes vouchers are illegal - I believe that this was just a fraudulent batch purchased (on the back of the recent 'too good to be true offers') and then sold at itunesvouchers.co.uk.
I can only summarise that someone has taken this to a new level and hoodwinked the seller, by buying normally priced vouchers with stolen credit cards and then offering them as corporate vouchers to the guy at itunesvouchers.co.uk
I've bought £500 worth of vouchers over the past 3 months from various sellers via eBay. Only 1 did a runner and after making a claim through PayPal I was refunded - so dont give up hope. The seller later said that he'd run out of codes.
Hopefully the guy at itunesvouchers.co.uk will get his act together and this will be resolved shortly.
As for the vouchers, I've heard various stories for the quick sale bargains:- short redemption expiry dates, corporate promotions/incentives, Apple employees etc...........BUT they are all legit.
Selling the FREE vouchers on may have implications, but at the moment APPLE dont seem to be able to police this. The issue of fraudulent vouchers purchased with a stolen credit card and then sold on is another issue and probably a result of website discussions like this !!!!Some days you're the bird......and some days you're the statue :cool:0 -
