Already answered in my above post.
Tesco cannot claim their money back on these DM's, or so it has been said.
Using a coupon against an item that I have not bought in my opinion is different as they claim back from the manufacturers & I'm just using a coupon against a product that loads of other shoppers would have purchased without a coupon.
As I said each to their own, 'Long Live Couponing.'0 -
the problem is the internet print off coupon will not scan, sa may ask supervisor when in doubt, so u r risking the supervisor come over to void all previously scanned coupons.0

if they dont sell the book the computer shouldnt scan the voucher!
im sure lots of people on this thread have handed in any old coupon thinking if it scans they must sell the product.
so i think its tescos fault to be honest if they dont want people to use them sort there computer system out.0 -

Valid point & totally agreed. I just wouldn't want this coupon activity to encourage Tesco's to look into the whole couponing situation. Most of us do well & pay very little without using this coupon. A shame if this ends like R&R.0 -

i know i dont want them to do that either as coupon useage has saved me lots of money.
all i was trying to say to people who disagree with people using coupons for products that tesco/asda dont sell is that in a way its there own fault for letting them scan, the s/a doesnt know any different as most of them are trained that if it scans that its fine to accept the coupon.0 -

But we as consumers and coupon users mostly know exactly what we are doing. If we know a shop cannot claim back the value of the coupon/vouchers then I don't think we should use them. I use legitimate manufacturers or Tesco's own vouchers. I do quite well and see no reason to kill the goose that lays the golden egg for a very short term gain.
Tesco is about the only shop with a half way decent coupon acceptance policy, I do hope a few don't spoil it for the many of us coupon users.0 -
