    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hello all,

I haven't posted for a while, mainly because I have used up anything away or replaced anything.

I've recently received a free pack of Simple face wipes, a Boots body butter to test, a bottle of E45 body lotion to test and 2 samples of toothpaste. Should see me good for a while :)

Estee Lauder pore refiner full size - WNBA. On eof the few instances I've been underwhelmed by an EL product! Made my skin smooth, but so does my primer, and did nothing for my pores! Defo not worth £50!

    Dove deoderent - WBA

    Oral B toothpaste - WBA

Thanks for the spf post Maddie! Found it very informative (and scary!). I have been using spf moisturiser, but not a seperate spf and now I'm very worried! Does anyone have any recommendations for an spf for pale skin that burns, that is also prone to acne, and who wears a fair bit of make up so the spf needs to 'sit' well?

For the past few years I have been using Clinique City Block 40, I am not sure if it will be on Beauty Mouth's approved list when she publishes it?, but I am pale and burn and it has served me well, don't have acne and wear minimal make up so cannot comment in those respects. I think it will be worth investigating the Avon as mentioned by Dolly, I also understand that Clarins do a very good sun block.

Indeed - my best friend's Dad, who has been a bus driver most of his life, found out a while back that he had skin cancer on his right arm caused by years of sitting at the wheel with no protection for his skin. Very scary when you think about it.

I really need to start concentrating on SPF in moisturisers, I'm a redhead so it's something I really should be aware of more. That's for the heads-up, will go take a look. :)

Predicted a grotty weekend here, and I wanted to get some gardening done :(

Have a good weekend everyone, get those toiletries used up! :D

Sorry about your friend's dad, I hope that he is doing well.

Do try and read the article, special mention made regarding redheads, skin composition and sun damage/suitable protection

Has been sunny here, but now raining, I too had hoped to garden, have 9 new shrubs and herbacious perennials to plant and don't fancy doing it in the rain:( Clay soil here which is now dry and hard to dig, so at least the weeding should be easier after rain (healthy crop of Bluebells and Celandines anyone?, both lovely, but not in one of my main borders:eek:
BTW, pleased to read somewhere that you had sold more of your little one's clothes, any luck with the sideboard yet?

He's doing well thanks :) He's a typical tough old London bus driver, says it'll take more than that to stop him. :)

V.interesting article so thanks for highlighting it - going to go on the hunt for SPF products. I normally use SPF moisturisers but didn't realise I should be using a special block at the same time:eek:. Being a natural red is tough at times, few products are aimed at this market and those that are tend to be expensive!

Really need to get out in the garden, everything's gone nuts in the last few days - my annual battle against the bindweed has begun, that stuff is evil. :(

Yep I sold more baby clothes and planning on putting more up for sale soon, there's a good market right now in second-hand baby clothes if they're in good nick. Have got another NCT sale coming up so will be putting equipment/toys for sale, so might clear out more space. No luck with the sideboard so far, it's gorgeous but the style (dark elaborate wood) isn't in fashion. Will keep trying though!

V jealous of your bluebells and celandines btw. Sounds lovely :)

    Another two UUs:

    Corsodyl Daily (the usual)

Vaseline Intensive Care for Hands: this stuff is seriously great for strengthening nails - I don't have weak nails, but I can noticed a serious difference in how strong they are once I used this.

    Hi All,

I finally have a UU after what seems like weeks!! Radox Eastern Spirit shower gel - WNBA in this fragrance, it was ok, there's just others I much prefer. I've also finished up some sachets of various moisturiser so I'll count those as another UU.

And then its me straight to the naughty step for the rest of the month....:o Had the most fabulous swap box arrive today so IN are:

    Synchrorose Cleansing Milk
    Lush Volcano Foot Mask
ASP Spa Naturals Daily Skin Polisher
    Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel
    Lush Lust Soap x 2
    Anastasia Line Erasing Serum sachet
Duck Island Shampoo minis x 2
Duck Island Bath Foam & Shower Gel mini
Duck Island Mandarin & Bergamot Soap

Also (not for stash as I don't count makeup):

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in Heather
    YSL Touche Eclat
    MAC eyeshadow in Steamy
Guerlain Kisskiss Lip Gloss in Baby Beige
    Stila Lip Glaze in Joy
    MAC Pigment in Accent Red
No. 7 Metallics Eye Pencil in Camouflage
NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Santa Monica Boulevard
    Lancome Le Crayon in Plum
MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Navy Stain

plus a cute little Chanel brush

And to end my confessional, I don't feel a bit guilty :rotfl: I'm like a kid in a sweet shop :D To be fair, this will only be the second month out of the sixteen that I've done the challenge so far that I've had more IN than UU so not too bad really :A

Not something I normally count as everyone uses it, but bought an unexpected handwash as Tesco had 500 ml of anti-bac for 24p, their own make, but not the Value range.
I was very good in Poundland, who had lovely Palmolive Aromatherapy shower gels in, plus Schwarzkopf Gliss. I ignored them.
I bought a very posh looking box of chocolate cherry cookies, since discovered they retail in Harvey Nicks for £3.50.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
