Sorry to read about problems with your flat asset. I don't understand how people can do that either.

2 more UUs from my bath:

61: Sanctuary Body Lotion 250ml - Love the smell of this, often receive as gifts and already have another in the stash.

62: BS Spicy Vanilla Scrub 200ml - hmm this was ok, nothing amazing though.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

    Evening all!

Just going through my stash again as I'm putting things aside ready for my hols....in 2 weeks! :j

I am determined to be organised and for once NOT be rushing around at the last minute, I've set myself a leaving time of 8am as it's a long drive up to the Lakes and I don't want to arrive knackered, tearful and in the dark like I did when I went last time (5 years ago), so leaving myself plenty of time for stops, rests, meals....I anticipate the journey being about 6.5 hours allowing for stops and breaks. I'm going alone so have no-one to take over the driving

    How is everyone? xx

Hi Ladies. This is the first chance I've had to post again. Very busy week at work. Can't see it getting any better any time soon.

Anyway, no UUs to report but do have some INs and should go on the naughty step for them as they were all unnecessary.

    Avon order:-
2 x Lipstain and gloss duos. Good offer though 2 for £10.00 and they're usually £8.50 each. Actually bought colours that I have had in the past and they are still lovely however I think the formula may have changed. The stain is a bit more fluid and looks like it is bleeding onto the skin under my lower lip and the lip gloss now feels like lipcote as I get a tingling feeling with it now.

    ASDA yesterday:-
Nspa version of C&P - bought this for Emma as she is now complaining that the cleanser from Ebay is making her break out.
Nspa Beauty Balm - I tried this yesterday and my first impression was that it was too dark but once I put my Balance N Brighten on top looked really good. Will try it with a smaller quantity when I wear it again later. Not really an unnecessary as I'm down to the pan on my Balance N Brighten and am not getting much coverage form it at the moment.

These products were also on offer 2 for £8.00 and they were both £7.00 each.

Have my Cutex nail lacquer remover and LE Eyebright that are spluttering and I think will need to be replaced this week. Will go and get Cutex from Wilkinsons tomorrow as my nails will probably need repainting by then. Am wearing OPI kiss Me on My Tulips at the moment and have been wearing it since Thursday night with no signs of tip wear yet.

Hope everyone is well. No plans today other than to collect Emma from karate as she did a sponsored 24 hour lesson yesterday.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    A couple to report:

1 - simple kind to skin antibacterial handwash - wmba, was good, nice minty smell.
2 - nivea invisable roll on - wnba - didn't keep me dry at all
3 - avon senses dreamy shower gel - this was ok but a sort of musty smell. wnba
4 - sanex dermo protector spray - this worked but was strong smelling. wmba

Yes I realise there are two deodorants in this list, but I needed to finish them up, I usually get bored and move on. *blush*
    Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

2 UU's- a small sample of Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy perfume- WBA, quite a nice fragrance.
Avon senses shower gel- Already repurchased as frequently on offer and does the job.

A couple of IN's to confess- a tub of Boots cocoa butter body scrub. The exfoliting gloves felt too harsh on their own so back to body scrub buts its a large tub and should last a while.
A box from smashbox with 3 small tubes of primer in. Havn't been into a large boots for ages and was amazed at the large range of brands they stock now. Have only seen smashbox on QVC before and I needed a primer. Used my boots points so was effectively free!
    April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£150
  • Hello all - hope you are having a good weekend.

Asset - how terrible re your flat. We rent out my old house and always use an agent to find a tenant then we manage it ourselves. We have only been unlucky once when our first tenants flooded the kitchen without telling us, then moved out and it took us months to track down the cause of the foetid smell. (rotting kitchen cupboards caused by the damp).

    Back OT some more UUs:

LE cleanse & p - HG product, WBA but am using up all the other cleansers in my stash first (which includes some more tubes of C&P)

LE daily eye repair - WBA as I find this quite light and easily absorbed

Elemis SOS cream - WMBA if I have a particulary bad breakout but at the moment am ploughing through the rest of my moisturiser stash which is pretty extensive....

Steering well away from the Q today and have looked at the LiB You box but have decided that I don't need anything so am not going to bother. A LBM think_smiley_42.gif.

I have a few more splutterers but difficult to tell whether they will stagger along until May or whether I will manage anymore UU before the end of the month.

Anyway, pretty pleased with this month - 1 IN and 17 OUTs so far.

  • I have had an epic fail today. I have two UUs, but for some reason the full size Sanctuary body wash I have been using wasn't on my spreadsheet. WMBA, was pleasantly surprised when I looked up the price.

    UU:
Charles Worthington Takeaways full volume shampoo 75ml, WMBA but finishing using up the herbal essences before I open the tresemme.

After we went to costco to do May's shop, I was emptying the boot and found l'occitane samples!! They must have fallen out of the bag when I went to the last girls night out!

    So... IN:

    L'Occitane Divine Eyes treatment 1ml
    L'Occitane divine cream 1ml
    L'Occitane divine cream 1ml
    L'Occitane volumising shampoo 8ml

This is what I get for clearing up :rotfl:

Small UU and a very interesting experiment. Wilko Simply Colour in Medium Brown permanent hair colour.

The design of the £land /Wilko hair colour bottles made it possible to use half the product on my very fine, collar-length hair.
I used the second half today with absolutely no problems, by using a £world mixing bowl and applicator brushes rather than mixing in the bottle and wasting product by it sticking to the sides.
The bowl method meant that there was more than enough to go around, so a 50p hair dye job which, I'm delighted to say has worked really well.
The A!di hair dye has the same old-school bottle and tube format so that will be the next candidate. It's also got 5ml more so I'll be more sure than this time of having enough to cover my hair.

The other huge plus of this method is that the reduced amount of product made application and rinse out a clean and tidy process with no product dripping off and flying around. I do have much finer hair than the norm, but if yours is short it could work for you too.
