I really need to do this, my stash is taking up too much space so if you start a new May challenge then I will definitely join. Will start on my list tomorrow (scary!) and make an effort to clear some space and save some money0

A few UU to declare
Sachet of shu emeura cleansing oil - WNBA have a few more sachets to UU but so glad I didnt spend the £30+ on this as I prefer DHC.
TBS Satsuma shower gel - WBA but plenty left in the stash.
5ml sample of Clarins extra firming lotion - have a few samples left in the stash but I really like it but think I may prefer Elemis PCMC that I tried for the first time recently.
TA
Some nasal drops which had been opened more than 28 days.No more buying toiletries0 -
A needed IN:
Korres Almond & Linseed Shampoo - a random purchase at the Supermarket, I hope it works on my hair which is acting all crazy & dry at the moment!0 -
One forgotten UU:
Elle MacPherson replenishing hand cream 50ml.
I kept this on my desk at work, it was part of a Xmas gift I received three yearsago! It wasn't all used up, but for some reason it was no longer sinking in and was instead bobbling and rubbing off, so TA. I'm currently carrying a 10ml mini of L'occitane cherry blossom hand cream in my bag and using that, will replace the desk handcream with a crabtree and evelyn I'm still to use, once the mini l'occitane is uu.
I think that's going to be me done for the month, all in all a pretty poor month as I've had five times as many INs as UUs :rotfl:
In more positive news I am now 17 days in to my challenge of not buying for 100 days. I've even turned down another L'occitane girls night out...well I didn't turn it down, my partner in crime did :rotfl: oh well...0 -
Now this is going to sound silly, but every evening when I get ready for bed, I take off my makeup and think of this challenge. I'm using emma hardie cleanser, which is a product I hadn't even heard of before I joined here. Every evening it is an absolute pleasure to use, it smells divine, it's a lovely ritual and most importantly it leaves me skin feeling beautifully soft, smooth and comfortably moisturised. No sensitive red patches from overdoing it with the cloth, no eczema patch under my eyes or on my jaw, and it's so moisturising I see my finer lines melt away.
If nothing else, I am so grateful to everyone here, especially maddiemay who encouraged me to try the product in the first place, for helping me to find such a lovely HG product0 -

Welcome Luckystar, and yes there will be a May challenge, this has been going solid for a few years now!
As you say, it has the dual effect of clearing space and saving money, but you also feel a lot better as you focus on pampering yourself, on using up your lovely things rather than having them decorate shelves before going in the bin after going off.
I used to have rough skin on my shins in winter. Not any more, as I always moisturise after a shower, and my lower legs get a daily zoosh of foot cream as well, when I apply that.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Can't put the link cos I'm on my phone, but I started a may thread last night, partly cos I'm an idiot an thought it was last day of the month already (!) but mostly because I'm barely in here at the moment and figured tht would be the easiest place to put me for new Facebook groupers to find me! It's a few threads down from here....
Ps - 24 hours of karate?? Blimey!!!!!!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
rogue my mum swears by that stuff! It used to be a fairly cheap, easy to obtain product, but she hasn't been able to find for years! Where do you buy yours?
Just had another UU this morning; bs vitamin c skin reviver - already have another bottle, as I quite like this stuff. It got a little thick towards the end (and the new bottle is very runny for the first few pumps) but it was a good product overall and lasted several months.0 -
Final UU's for April are 5ml REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask HG and 3ml Dior Capture Ultimate Wrinkle Restoring Cream. 3ml not really enough to test it out, WNBA too expensive.
Rogueylawyer - thank you for the kind words, I agree, the Emma Hardie Balm is fantastic. I will try and do a side by side comparison against the one I got from e-bay soon (it is very good).
Thank you Trudi for starting the new month's challenge, see you all over there.:D
P.S. Painted my nails on Monday with A-England King Arthur, a very dark grey metallic. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Have a couple of uu
Elemis Skin bliss capsules (can't remember the exact name) - WBA, I really, really liked these, they do draw out impurities it seems so maybe not to be used directly before a special event. I used a 7 day pack and the effect on my skin was immediate, some little bumps and milia that have been hanging around for a while have now gone. I have two more 7 day packs in the stash and will probably open one in a month or so.
Clinique superbalm moisturising lipgloss in Currant - WNBA, it is too expensive for what it is but it does last FOREVER though. Have many other items in the stash to choose from as a replacement.
One fantastic product I would highly recommend is Blistex lip brilliance, it is a lip balm stick which is tinted, the colour payoff is excellent, like your own lips but much better, it is easy to get and cheap too.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
