If you can find any, good prices.

I might find them easier to find in Sains. - just looking at it from another angle.(Hoping the pricing is on the sada.com website, as this will be a real help on my own not too distant future brand-mtch shopping!)
• Just get into swimming?

Idle question, forgive the intrusion.

Since I started swimming I lost nearly 10kg, gained some shoulders and muscle plus a 6 pack - swimming a mile is a daily pleasure as opposed to a fear :D:beer:

My husband suggested swimming and said he would go with me. Both children will be at school everyday from September so I will be able to do a lot more then x
Now on the 5:2 diet.

Lost 25 1/2 lbs :j:j:j 33 1/2 lbs to go

I never used to be able to cook rice, but something changed and now I can

When cooking basmati rice, rinse it in cold water first before adding to boiling water. Boil for a couple of minutes, then turn down to simmer and leave the lid on. Stir once with a fork before putting the lid on.

Leave it for 6-7 mins, then drain the water out and leave with the lid on for a further 4-5 mins. Et voila- perfect curry rice :j

More or less the same with long grain rice- rinse under old tap, add to boiling ware, boil for a few mis then turn down to simmer, don't worry about putting the lid on this time, but stir every now and again with a wooden spoon to stop it sticking

Fluff both types up with a fork before serving

Job done :j

• 10kg over what length of time squills?

92kg fat b@stard 2 years ago down to 82kg mean fighting machine now, the swimming has done most of it.

I always liked walking and biking but also liked eating & drinking [ie a bit too much].

Now I find that swimming a mile a day maybe 4 days a week keeps me trim and dulls the appetite.

Plus uses up a few calories etc.

Sorry to quote oneself- if you want yellow rice, just add half a teaspoon of turmeric to the boiling water before you add the rice. If you REALLY want to go a bit extra, fry up some cumin seeds in the pan first for a few seconds before adding the water :)
