Talkmobile increase contract monthly charge

Ignoring the irrelevant bickering, has anybody rung/ written to talkmobile to protest against increase or demand to be released from the contract early? (Although its allowable in the terms, it's a grey area and I have previously exited a virgin mobile contract where they raised the prices mid-contract.)0

I have contacted them regarding the increase and to request to be released. I have only had my contract a month! Customer services were very unhelpful. They simply quote the terms and conditions that the rise is in line with inflation and that it is bascially tough and there is nothing that they are prepared to do!
We don't get a refund when we don't use the service fully but the companies are quick to up costs!
It is a long time to be stuck in the contract but I won't use them again and I will be advising others not to use them!
My advice to anyone reading this thread, is read the T&Cs carefully and ask questions before you commit yourself to a contract.0 -
Which? has an online petition about this problem

My contract price has just gone up but I note that Talk Mobile are still offering my deal at the original price. This means that just as you take out a contract it will instantly go up. Very poor0

I rang them yesterday, they were not apologetic and quite defiant that it was fine for them to raise the prices due to the t&c's allowing it, and other networks doing the same thing. They logged the complaint and gave me a ref number although refused to get anyone to ring me back. They said the next thing would be to contact ofcom.0 -
EE last year had a revenue of £6.8 billion - that's £6,800 million
An obscene amount of money.....
They also cut 550 jobs and increased prices to customers !0 -
Without any kind of actual knowledge on the subject, just a guess, even if you could break contract I would imagine you'd have to give the phone back. What will your verse be?
