            Re lovetescoforever
Basically we detect fruad via a few methods
Cashiers informing us of large amounts of points being added
Nectar security informing us of names / cards to watch
Internal store reports ie loyalty card update
Again get this in context ..what you need to realise its not the odd amount of low level of points ...its the huge amounts that people are collecting ...going from store to store and area to area
 Interesting.
certainly tesco hasn't got this or else I would have been caught months ago :rotfl::o0

            No not a troll post
Like everything else....it seems like a small.thing ...but it is becoming a problem.....mutiple receipts all timed within minutes of each other ..receipts from other stores miles away ....bottom line its bordering on theft for such small amounts
I for the life of me cannot see how this is classed as stealing.
Stealing is if something hasn’t been paid for. Someone would have had to buy something in order for the point to be added to claim. Therefore sainsburys, Tesco haven’t lost out. Infact they gain.
Say for example, Someone bins a ticket with 10 points because they don’t have a card. Like you stated each point is worth half a penny, Meaning you get 5p.
How much would the previous customer spent in store to gain those 10 points. ???Abuse of reward card points would be considered gross misconduct in most cases for staff ...I have seen cases of this recently
I think that the term womble creates a inocent feel to the principle that at the end of the day its theft
Would people use the same priciple at argos where nectar is accepted ?
Looking through bins for high value purchases
Yes, If people could gain a small profit on getting a receipt from the bin of a higher purchase then people WILL do it.
I have worked for a local express chain of MR T. Infact, May people are NOT interested in the club card scheme and I have often been told, Give it to the next customer. Same with the school coupons ect.
For people with well earn jobs where money isn’t any issue, This is just time consuming and they would rather not be asked.Future goals:
 Become debt free.
 Beat Depression.
 Be happy & healthy0

            What representatives?
The reason why you can only put two receipts on at a time, is because of wombles not for them.
It therefore inconveniences' people who have lost their CCs and who know want to put the saved receipts points on!
Tesco Stores and Clubcard are looking out for people who abuse the Clubcard system.
I overhead recently of someone who had tens of thousands of points - was 'fined' via a very large deduction and banned.

Official on MSE - I have no idea which "spokesperson"?!
I know some look into Cc abuse. Like buying 500 pre ordered games or sending 10000 ink carts back - you just have to be more clever I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine. I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

To be honest I believe some of what Brackley2 has said but not all of it.
It's incredibly easy to get away with it. Got to be a bit smart and use different staff, and stores.0

I wonder what Tesco would do if they found out that you had a Nectar card and what Sainsbury's would do if they found out that you had a Tesco Clubcard. They are supposed to be loyalty cards, after all. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Lots of people have both, what's your point? :-S
People lack loyalty any more these days and can easily switch between the two for a number of factors.0

I note that was about someone who was using receipts for price promise - for Charity - so the Tesco spokesperson was giving comment view on a way of using a loophole for charitable purposes (it wouldn't have looked good in PR if he'd done otherwise).
So, I don't see that's applicable in this context i.e. loyalty points.
Please note Tesco Clubcard T & Cs
The Clubcard account, card, key fobs, coupons, vouchers and points, in whatever form, are issued by and remain the property of Tesco which may, at any time, terminate the scheme or alter or amend the conditions of operation of the scheme.
 Tesco may decline to issue, withdraw or cancel Clubcard accounts, cards, key fobs, coupons, vouchers and points, in whatever form, and / or remove a member from the scheme at any time where there is reasonable belief of:- any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme;
- any breach or attempted breach of these terms and conditions and / or those relating to the optional elements of the scheme;
- any behaviour relating to Clubcard or the Tesco Group that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour, or supplying false or misleading information.

But just because you've been lucky so far - doesn't mean you always will!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
