that reminds me of the time I bought some expensive moisturiser on ebay for a really good price. When it arrived I didn't have time to open the package before I left for work so I just threw it into my bag and meant to open it in my dinner break but forgot.
On the way home from work I popped into Tesco and the alarms went off - on the way in! I was actually on the way IN to Tesco with the unopened ebay package in my bag and it set the shoplifter alarms off!
:eek:Obviously it was stolen and the security tag was still on it. That wasn't a good day.0 -
I love a good womble
Been wombling for about 2 years now and probably added over £100 worth of clubcard pts
picked up lots of 5p and 10p petrol coupons which is extremely good :money:money off when you spend £20/30 etc.. double pts coupons etc..
My local tesco doesn't have a petrol station so the last petrol promotion I must have wombled 10 of them :cool: used a few and gave the rest to friends and family.
Every Little Helps;)
However a tip:
Mix it up when wombling pts (either nectar or Clubcard or even Boots:cool:) as You can get a store ban so best to use as many stores as possible :cool:
Happy Wombling(personally I've never embarrassed about doing it, as there's money in wombling, however only 2 friends know about it:o:o)

I work for sainsburys...please do not pick up receipts ...yes you may get away with it intially ..but you will be caught
A reminder every point is just worth half a penny ..its not worth it
Nectar security is very good and I have caught 2 customers doing this over the last couple of weeks ....very embarrising for the customers ...and the loss of their points and a ban0 -
I see receipts in trolleys in Asda all of the time. I check them if they have at least 8 different items then its like lottery - don't know if you are going to gain from it or bin it.
So far, my APG averaged out on £1.15 and I say 40% of the receipts I pick up are successful.0 -
I see receipts from distance but never pick them up no point also people have certain card numbers so won't be able to use them anyway even if I wanted to which I don't.I read/heard in the news once people got done for doing that i.e prison or banned can't remember which not fair to use other peoples receipts that's greed.0

I can understand it can cause a ban, Or even embarrisment but, In tough times people will do ANYTHING they can without directly breaking the law.
Each point might only be half a penny, But thats more than they had when they walked into store isn't it.Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -
A point of interest - how many times has the person in front of you at the till been asked if they have a clubcard (or similar) and they have said no? I'd love to jump in and say "can I have their points please"! If they then leave their receipt are you really doing anything wrong by picking it up, taking it to CS, and asking for the unclaimed points to be added to your account?0

Well it may be the case for Sainsbury's but this is complete tosh with regards to ASDA and Tesco. The representatives of both of these groups have said it is OK to womble. YOu can only put two lots of CC points on each time you go in though from different receipts.
I'm sure that's just a trolling post.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I have, and do do this. If the customer in front doesn't want them, I'll have them. I once got a £600 transaction (worth £24 to me in deals) as well as their 10p off fuel and a load of Pyrex stickers (for the collection promo).
I've also paid cash when I see poeple handing over their CC vouchers at the till as I sue them for 4 x their worth on deals. People look funny initially but when you explain why they never have issues.
Just make sure the SA isn't a trout!I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I don't think it is a trolling post. My aunt works for Sainsburys and she says they tear up any abandoned receipts and till spit vouchers as a customer in the store 3 miles down the road was banned from there and subsequently banned from any Sainsburys within a certain distance (15 miles I think) because she was forever at the CSD asking the CSA to put points onto her card. She was suspected as she picked up 4 receipts from transactions made in just 5 mins. If it was 2 receipts in 5 mins, it would look more legit as they get customers that go shopping together - mother/daughter, neighbours etc and only one has a Nectar card and may go through different tills at the same time.0
