harassment spiralled out of control

Just wanted to let all on this post know the outcome. Had disciplinary meeting this morning.
The Facebook posts and other emails were not mentioned. I got a FWW based on my threatening behaviour.
There was no need (not that I ever would have done it) to mention the *gay stuff*.
However, the other 2 ladies involved in the harassment are also getting warnings according to their involvement.
Oh and just now I got called for an interview which I of course am going to attend.0 -

And the lesson you have learned from this?0 -

At the moment my next interview is for the legal sector. I don't see why I should move sectors for now but am looking long term at a career change. No idea what yet.
Becuase whilst your employer may choose to give a formal neutral reference (ie yes she worked for us between these dates) people in the same industry tend to talk informally to each other.......if you get my drift.
I'm well aware they talk. What can I say about that?0 -

what lesson do *you* want me to learn?
I've already been wrongly labelled homophobic. I agree I should not have blabbed about this.
Like I say, I am not coming here again to do with employment matters as so many people jump/take things out of context. oh and I forgot judge.
But if it makes you feel better that you know me and my views then judge away.0 -
SuzyZ, hope you have not aired your views, or friends have hinted about this in their work emails to and from you, because when he examines your work emails.....
My friends and I don't swap work emails.
Just take a few Iceland bags with you, as it is much harder going back a second time to pick up your mountain of stuff, should you be let go.
Thanks for this. :rotfl:
Hope he or his friends do not read this forum.
I'm sure they don't read this forum. It must only be saddos like SarEl etc who post here. oh, sorry, forgot she doesn't do that now. or who are frustrated employment solicitors.0 -

That you need to moderate your behaviour. You are bigoted and aggressive. People will judge you on your actions, that is human nature, and those that have done so to you have been quite justified - both at work and on here.I'm sure they don't read this forum. This sums you up perfectly. You need to work on that temper of yours.0 -

I wholeheartedly agree with the above statement. I should have never worked with the wife of a close friend of my mothers.
My guess is that had you not been vindictive towards your ex-colleague (becuase the way I forsee events panning out one or both of you will be leaving the company), the most likely outcome of the disciplinary would have been a warning for the swearing, and then the bullying colleagues would have been dealt with separately and appropriately.
My *colleague* who works with me will be getting disciplined as will the other colleague. And yes I've got a Final Warning for the swearing etc.
If you do intend to eat humble pie at this meeting (and again, given the can of worms you've opened, I doubt very much whether it will even be offered) I would think seriously as to whether it would be a good idea to have your neighbour with you - for an experienced person to even suggest blackmailing your boss (even in jest) would make me wonder if he was a suitable person to have on my side.
The neighbour was there. She's actually experienced in HR in outside fields (associations) and qualified NLP practitioner - but then again I expect someone will jump on me/her for both those. The neighbour is my mum's neighbour not mine and it was when my mother spoke to her about this that she mentioned the gay blackmailing.
But yet again, I suppose my mother's views (not homophobic) etc or my neighbours will be dragged into this.
Thanks for your advice though.0 -

I do not doubt I am aggressive. Bigoted, no.

I take it you're a frustrated employment lawyer then. nevermind. :rotfl:0
