harassment spiralled out of control

You could have just told him how stupid he was, rather than advertising the fact that you were considering blackmail in public.
Right that's what I will say. That blackmail isn't the way to go.
You are getting outside views and the consensus of opinion appears to be that you are either a homophobic bigot or a total idiot.
I feel an idiot but like I said before I've been bullied here over past 18 months.
Yes last week I lost it. If I'm sacked over what I said I'll have to accept it.
Thanks again0 -
I can just imagine the way the subject came up.
SuzyZ: I've got problems at work, I'm being disciplined.
Neighbour: What is going to happen?
SuzyZ: I don't know, but I've also found out my boss is a raving poofter.
Neighbour: You should blackmail him.
SuzyZ: That's a great idea.
I'll leave you to carry that on not knowing me or the situation.0 -
I think we can tell a lot about you just from the few posts you have made on here -
You are unprofessional.
You are a gossip.
You are either narrow-minded or extremely stupid.
You don't know the facts so I'm going to leave it here.
If I can be bothered I will come back to update you can either gloat if I've been sacked or not.
I am NOT homophobic and gossip I mentioned it to my neighbour as they were going to be a rep and have also suffered harassment at work.
But thanks again for judging me. I can't be bothered to reply anymore especially as this is on IPhone and harder to type.0 -

Talking about your boss on fb and showing him such little respect, considering blackmailing him because he is gay, then wanting a reference.
Grow up love. You're not professional, you're still a child. I suspect a troll child.
Lol. My colleague and I were discussing boss on FB. She started that.
I admit it was unprofessional. My neighbour suggested blackmail.
I was stupid enough to come here to get advice.0 -
I feel an idiot
Yes, that is one word for you.I was stupid enough to come here to get advice.
No, you were stupid enough to air your vile views in public.I am NOT homophobic
Yes, you are.
Seriously, you need to take a good look at yourself. One day someone in real life will take issue with your views and you won't be able to hide behind a keyboard then. No doubt you'd still try to play the victim card ...0 -
Unfortuantely I do think you've made the situation a whole lot worse for yourself, despite being (technically) the victim.
My guess is that had you not been vindictive towards your ex-colleague (becuase the way I forsee events panning out one or both of you will be leaving the company), the most likely outcome of the disciplinary would have been a warning for the swearing, and then the bullying colleagues would have been dealt with separately and appropriately.
If you do intend to eat humble pie at this meeting (and again, given the can of worms you've opened, I doubt very much whether it will even be offered) I would think seriously as to whether it would be a good idea to have your neighbour with you - for an experienced person to even suggest blackmailing your boss (even in jest) would make me wonder if he was a suitable person to have on my side.2014 Target;

I can't believe you've told your neighbour your boss is gay, that has nothing to do with the alleged bullying it is blabbermouthing. And I can't believe you excuse slagging your boss off on Facebook of all places by saying your colleague started it. You come over immature and unprofessional, I would not give you a good reference.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

And whilst I think about it, be careful as to the next sector you work in.
Becuase whilst your employer may choose to give a formal neutral reference (ie yes she worked for us between these dates) people in the same industry tend to talk informally to each other.......if you get my drift.2014 Target;

SuzyZ, hope you have not aired your views, or friends have hinted about this in their work emails to and from you, because when he examines your work emails.....
Just take a few Iceland bags with you, as it is much harder going back a second time to pick up your mountain of stuff, should you be let go.
Hope he or his friends do not read this forum.0
