And buying clothes when doing DFW can be a problem too. Do you have a friend who is about the same size as you now who could take you shopping. It needs to be someone who dresses well. They could give you an honest opinon.

I've done it in 2 chunks - so to speak! 2 years ago, I lost 6 stone and then I've lost another 5 stone since last November. The more mathematically competent amongst you, you will have noticed that 6+5 does not 10 make! I put a stone back on in between :o but life was very stressful at the time - separated from husband (happily reunited now!), huge pressure because of debt and spent a month in a psychiatric unit due to depression.

i've lost 4 stone twice so part got there and then plateaud, got bored, put it back on again. Food is my 'drug'.

That's my problem too - completely addicted to food and literally physically addicted to sugar. I always knew that until I found some way of sorting out the head stuff around food, I was never going to lose the weight and keep it off.

So I found a programme called Lighter Life and I've been following that. I don't want to sound like a sales rep for them so I won't go on about it unless you're interested in hearing about the particulars. If you are interested then I'm more than happy to tell you about it.

Yep! My old housemates are going to take me shopping and out for lunch when I've come off the programme - still got a bit more to lose.

Cate - if you don't mind me asking, what size are you now? I'm wondering if any of the myriad of clothes I've got lying around in every conceivable size under the sun would help!

If you have the willpower to return it all, why don't you get a load of stuff delivered from catalogues, invite a couple of friends round for a major trying on session? When you've lost that much weight I think you probably need to find out what shapes etc suit your new shape - anyone got a Trinny & Susannah book lying around?

I wondered if you had done it with Lighter Life. Unfortunately I can't stretch to the cost - it is almost £70 a week?

I actually applied to run a franchise for Lighter Life when I lost my job last year, but the stress of a tribunal etc got the better of me and I gave it up in the end. I went on one of their training courses and I was very impressed with the concept.

Glad to hear you life is going in the right direction too!!:T

just had a look. The average seems to be around £16 - £20 for 7 sachets, which is 7 meals? Someone is selling a week's worth for £66. Is it any/much different to Slim Fast ? (I've lasted 3 days once on that)
