But afraid to say that I find I spend a lot less money when buying what I need (note need, not want) when it is needed and also have fresher fruit/veg by buying it on the day I use it than doing a big shop in advance. Buying smaller when I need it also encourages me to walk more so has added benefits.

So I'm going to complete April shortly and will then bow out of future challenges.
Some people exclude groceries from this challenge - especially if they have a budget they run for that elsewhere. So no need to bow out if you don't want to :)

I know what you mean but to me I just don't see the point of a no spend challenge target when you're allowed to spend money. It's a contradiction in terms.
  • Spend day today again. Thankfully not from my weekly budget but on maternity clothes and some baby bits.

I have a feeling I may not make it this month as I seem to be spending a lot on last minute baby bits, but it is all stuff we need. But it is not a NSD all the same.

Well that's another week gone. Can't believe it.

    NSD #9 and 5-in-a-row...

    Almost there really!

Was really struggling today as I nibbled on a sandwich and the fish and chips from downstairs was wafting through the air conditioning.

Fortunately, a little later some kind soul delivered some leftover super-posh sandwiches and treats from a client meeting which I descended upon like a wolf on the fold.

    Feeling very well behaved.
Debt free, moved, got new stuff for the new flat - got everything I wanted and need - now just saving.

No NSD for me today. No D/debit, but decided I couldn't avoid shopping for veg any longer !!! Spent £25.66 on groceries (and £12 on clothes, reduced from £29)

    Evening

It's been quite a lovely day today. Started off with light rain but it soon cleared.

An expected spend day for me today, although not as much as I thought but a spend day nonetheless. I am hoping I will be back to my spend free weekends now for a bit.

I have decided to return my bedding for a refund and purchase it from Debenhams with my giftcard so I am not using my own money. I feel a bit mean but I would rather have my own money.

Has anyone seen that new IK*A advert? I love the music but all those gnomes look a bit creepy, reminds me a bit of clowns who are supposed to be funny but are in actual fact quite scarey. :D or do I just frighten easily? :o:D

Spoon & Freeby, thanks for updating.

    Enjoy your evening.
