I understand that there are companies out there that are a disgrace. However I am in a position where it will be neccessary for me to use a company to issue fines.
The situation is that we are a block of 4 maisonettes and we have land that we pay ground rent for.
Recently the council has introduced parking restrictions on their property, now the residents who don't want to pay for their parking are parking on our land. This leaves us and our visitors nowhere to park. As we pay for that land I do not see this as fair on us, so we have to stop it. And yes we will use a company that will fine these drivers. We have situation where scumbags who know this is private property think it's OK to do as they please.

Don't come crying back here then when one of the 4 maisonette owners and their visitors get a flurry of fake PCNs on their cars and then debt collector threats. It's ALWAYS the residents who get picked on by PPC scum in this situation, you are setting yourselves up for a major fall here. Can I suggest you Google the name of the firm you are about to let loose in your car park? You have been warned...

No, a permit system will not stop the PPC. We have threads about people who are 'ticketed in my own space with a permit on show' every week.

No, a list of reg numbers that are exempt will not stop the PPC, they will simply target your visitors, delivery drivers or the courtesy car you have for a day...

How do you think these muppets make their money seeing as they offer the 'service' free? Think 'protection racket' and you have the sort of business model these scammers use. Their suited representative will 'talk the talk' now to get your business, oh yes we know about their spiel, they may even offer you a kickback from each fake PCN, but once in on your land they will follow the money and you will probably have stupidly signed a site agreement for at least a year...doh! How exactly does that encourage your visitors, how exactly does that help re-sale value when a prospective buyer sees that 'ScammersRUs' are on site, like uncontrolled vermin?

What is wrong with 4 simple key-operated bollards, one for each space? Last time I Googled those for a poster who thought they had no option but to bring in the scammers, there were some advertised for about £50, a one-off purchase which guarantees no-one else can park in your spaces. Or if the bays run along a wall in a single row, then a simple inexpensive chain on a few small posts, with a padlock key for each maisonette owner, will put a simple barrier at each bay.

Unlike a PPC who simply leave the 'unauthorised' car there in the space all day with a rubbish piece of paper on it...still leaving you all to park elsewhere and probably get one of their tickets for 'not being in a bay' or other jumped-up reason to make a profit.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is an old thread, you really should start a new one of your own for advice specific to your situation.

However the advice in this case hasn't changed and so you should follow that given above.

While you are here, please read the 'NEWBIES' sticky at the top of the forum index to bring you up to speed on private parking issues. If you do get any more hassle from this outfit, or you need further reassurance somewhere down the line, do come back (via a new thread).

There's nothing to concern yourself with here - make no contact with the company, no point or need.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
