Unhappy Car Sale - Interesting Update

1) Sorry didn't realise post count was important.
2)I didn't say it wasn't true.
3) May I recommend a dictionary to look up the words "either"and "or"
Whilst it is annoying having a car parked up for some time this will turn sour. Walk away.
I am quite aware of English thank you. What I do find difficult to understand is why trolling was mentioned at all when we were just talking about a difficult Ebay buyer.
I assumed that by calling me a troll you were saying that I was making it up. What else does a troll do? By pointing out how many posts I had I was telling you that I am a long standing member of this forum and unlikely to come on here with tall stories.
Having said that, the guy is supposed to be picking up the car today. He has texted to say he's having trouble contacting his delivery guys. Also can we 'renegotiate'. My husband has now phoned him to say that the guy who bid below was only £10 less and we have a second chance offer. If its not picked up today we are selling it to someone else as we have a company van coming Wednesday and need the car off the drive. So I will let you know the outcome. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
I would contact the second offer, and sell it to them. This guy, if he even turns up, is going to haggle with your son and he'll end up paying a lot less than his original bid, banking on the fact that you will just want to see the back of both him and the car.
Then phone him and tell him that the car is gone and he is not to contact you again. All this fuss for a 12 year old Toyota? Something's a bit odd, I would definitely not want him anywhere my property.
If you get any grief from ebay about not honouring the sale, call them and explain. Knowing ebay, you'll probably get a strike anyway but it's worth it to get shot of this idiot.
Good luck!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -

I expect he does want to re-negotiate now he has to factor in the cost of a car moving company, probably a few hundred quid to move it 300 miles
But he won it on ebay and the price he bids is the price he pays, I have had this problem with buyers who want to haggle when they arrive, I always refuse to haggle, if they walk away give them bad feedback and report them as non-payers0 -
didn't think sellers could leave bad feedback these days?0

You can enter into Ebays "Dispute Resolution" procedure and accuse him of dishonesty there. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

That was a bit of a shock!
Well, guess what.:o Just before we went out today my husband phoned the potential buyer. He said he was on his way and the Satnav in the delivery vehicle was reading 3 hours (which would have been correct.) We said fine and went out leaving our son with strict instructions not to hand over the keys until the form was completed and the full money was in his hands.
Five hours later my son phones - no one has turned up. My husband tries to phone the guy - no reply. Seven hours later no one has turned up. My husband says he doesn't care. At 8pm we get a text message from the guy to say that he gives up, he has tried everything but just cannot pick up the car, sorry. I texted back politely to say okay, sorry it didn't work out for us. Then he texted back to say if the other guy didn't turn up (meaning the second chance offer) he would try again. Em not a chance.
I have requested a second chance offer with the 2nd bidder who has a high rating. So fingers crossed. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
Hate to tell you, but I told you so:D, (along with others)
