Unhappy Car Sale - Interesting Update

This is either trolling or the OP should walk away from this deal.
Seeing as I have over 8000 posts on this site and you only 6 I think troll is a bit rich. Every word is true.
The guy has now texted to say that he is getting it MOTd on Monday. We are going out on Monday to see relatives that we haven't seen for 18 months but my son will be here. So we are leaving it up to him to collect the money and get the documents signed. We are just fed up and want rid of the car.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
by the way, what car is it that he is coming from 300 miles away??I

A 2001 Toyota Corolla. I can't understand it myself but he is dead keen. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -

.
Don't worry about the trolling accusation - you have to laugh at someone with 6 posts dropping the T bomb. I think your 8000 previous posts must have just been so you could accuse an ebay car purchaser of willfully being Asian.
This is a fascinating thread - every ebay car sale I have been involved in ends up being somehow "dodgy" but normally works out in the end, but keep your wits about you and get him to sign everything in front of you, including the receipt with "sold as seen" etc on it as previously recommended.
Let us know how it turns out.0 -
traders will want the whole lot apart from the yellow bit which you send off to DVLA.Time and date the V5c, give over only the new keepers piece (no matter the great story he has for needing all of it) and make sure the cash is real and forget about it. No longer your problem and I know you will have printed out your ad for future reference.0 -
However, we are now worried that he is going to accuse us of being racist when it has nothing to do with it.
You can sell it to whoever you like for whatever reason. Let him play the race card. So what?
It seems you've been more than tolerant with this idiot jerking you around so far. I would've told him to take a running jump long before now.0 -

1) Sorry didn't realise post count was important.
2)I didn't say it wasn't true.
3) May I recommend a dictionary to look up the words "either"and "or"
Whilst it is annoying having a car parked up for some time this will turn sour. Walk away.0
