If I want a laugh I go on yootoob and watch old sitcoms. Steptoe and Son this morning. I like Some Mothers Do Ave Em, and Keeping up Appearances, and On the Buses. Sharon Tate's Nan is hilarious. :rotfl:

We love Flight of the Conchords. I'm married to a Kiwi so all the little Kiwi digs are hilarious (and so true!). I would love to see them live and sad that they stopped at 2 series. Definitely my top comedy, I'm inspired to watch it again now.

Alan Partridge for us, too. There is a new film coming out in August, I'm already planning my night out around that.

The weird thing that gets me laughing is large people riding small vehicles, I know it's bizarre. Like in Dumb and Dumber when he is riding the tiny motorbike, like there is nothing unusual about it.

I am yet to find a film or series or a 'comedian' funny.. I find most crude and vulgar.

We make our own funny.. DS3 and I had hysteria over word play.. the word unicorn for one... a vegetarian unicorn is of course a uniquorn, a naked one is a unishorn... this went on for quite some time.

My eldest and I would find that hilarious, but we often make each other laugh while everyone around us is wondering what the joke is. Likewise, at Christmas when Michael Macintyre (?) is on we sit there straight faced while everyone else thinks he's hilarious. Rhod Gilbert's bit about the toothbrush was excellent, but MM himself I just don't get.

I don't usually agree with the popular opinion on what's funny, but I do like the Monty Python films, the first series of the BBC sitcom 'coupling' and the Armstrong and Miller show. My favourite comedians are Bill Bailey, Sean Lock and Rhod Gilbert.

I wouldn't suggest 'something funny' to anyone though, because it's so subjective, and I'm surrounded by people who think my sense of humour is odd. Luckily my husband and child share it :)

I find outtakes of films hilarious - so 'It'll be Alright on the Night' is very funny - apart from the guy introducing them.
You've been Framed is another favourite.
and Funny kitties and Funny dogs on Youtube!
apart from that I am OLD - so my fave comedians are Dave Allen, Bob Monkhouse and Les Dawson.
oh and Lokolo 's suggestions are all films that made me laugh!

MRS BROWN. My wife thinks i am mad but it just cracks me up.
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Stand up is my favourite, live comedy. Its best experienced live, but you can pick most good stuff up online or dvd

Good ones, lee mack, frankie boyle, lee evans - although a bit weak nowdays, hal cruttenden etc a lot of the lesser known comics on the circuit are the better ones

For a real giggle on a Saturday evening watch 'An idiot abroad'. I just love watching Karl Pilkington being sent off to the next wonder of the world and not liking one minute of it. His trips to Jerusalem, Petra (The Titanic camel line cracked me up), Rio and Machu Picchu are brilliant.

Yes he is very clever, I can't stand Ricky Gervais though.
