For a real giggle on a Saturday evening watch 'An idiot abroad'. I just love watching Karl Pilkington being sent off to the next wonder of the world and not liking one minute of it. His trips to Jerusalem, Petra (The Titanic camel line cracked me up), Rio and Machu Picchu are brilliant. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

I love watching comedy whether it be films or tv shows but can't think of any to recommend!!
I have heard funny shows on Radio 4 when in the car but don't know which day/times they are on - usually if it has Sandi Toksvig in it's going to be funny.
The thing that really makes me laugh out loud are Terry Pratchett books. They're so funny and I love the play on words. Also just recently read 'A Year in the Merde' which made me chuckle quite a bit.0 -
I always find that Monarch of the Glen cheers me up. A bit of light humour and plenty of lovely scenery (Lochs, hills, and Archie MacDonald
).
Pigpen - that reminds me, when I was younger we used to do front door puns with my Dad. eg Snooker player's front door would read 'ring the bell then please join the cue', a Dr's would say 'please be patient while I come to the door' etc. Obviously my Dad always came up with the best ones. Highly amusing for an 8 year old!!0 -
Only fools and horses, the Royle family, meet the parents, meet the fockers, little fockers and of course the king of comedy.. Billy Connolly!0

Anchorman. As long as you just accept how ridiculous it is, you'll laugh your head off. It's one of the few films where just hearing a line from it can make me laugh out loud. "I love lamp" anyone?
I watched this years ago - think I'm going to have to give it another go because so many people seem to rave about it - and I just didn't 'get it' at all - thought it was awful!0 -
I am yet to find a film or series or a 'comedian' funny.. I find most crude and vulgar.
We make our own funny.. DS3 and I had hysteria over word play.. the word unicorn for one... a vegetarian unicorn is of course a uniquorn, a naked one is a unishorn... this went on for quite some time.
I'm the same... one skiing holiday we spent hours in hysterics over similar word play. that was 10 years ago and even to this day just one mention of "hoooooooves" and we are in tears of laughter again.
Have a look at http://www.damnyouautocorrect.com/ :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Please be warned though... some of it is not... umm... polite...
I also love http://icanhas.cheezburger.com/Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
I like really silly, slapstick comedy.
Dumb and Dumber
Bottom/Bottom Live
any of the golden oldies like Charlie Chaplin or Laurel and Hardy
I even re-watched the Naked gun films, though they've been on tv hundreds of times.
I'd also second Withnail & I, but it's a cult film and the sort of thing where you either really like it or you really don't.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Overboard with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn is one of my all time favourite comedy films - "I was a short fat !!!!!!?"
TV - Mike & Molly and Two & A Half Men - both on Comedy Central and lol hilarious.
I hate comedies that try too hard like My Family and Not Going Out - I can't abide them.
Oh and try Youtube for Whose Line is it Anyway - any episide with Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles has me peeing my pants!0 -
Muriel's Wedding - brilliant film (or is it just me?)Debts 07/12/2021
