It has been one hell of a week and I am well and truly looking forward to this Easter break. Could really do with some recommendations of something light hearted and funny to watch. So what is your favourite funny film? Which comedians do you like? Come on people I need some inspiration to cheer myself up with.

One of my old favourite funny films is Coming to America (Eddie Murphy), never fails to make me chuckle.
Love Eddie Izzard, but have recently discovered how funny stand up comedian Micky Flanagan is too.
Hope you enjoy your weekend!0 -
Anchorman. As long as you just accept how ridiculous it is, you'll laugh your head off. It's one of the few films where just hearing a line from it can make me laugh out loud. "I love lamp" anyone?0

Get the boxset of I'm Alan Partridge. Two series - 12 episodes in total - so almost six hours of awesomeness. Funniest thing in the world."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I am yet to find a film or series or a 'comedian' funny.. I find most crude and vulgar.
We make our own funny.. DS3 and I had hysteria over word play.. the word unicorn for one... a vegetarian unicorn is of course a uniquorn, a naked one is a unishorn... this went on for quite some time.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I love Peter Kays Pheonix Nights, Vicar of Dibley, Gavin and Stacey. Funniest films for me are Coming to America and Planes, Trains and Automobiles. As for comedians l like Billy Connolly, Michael MacIntyre (he's got a wierd face though - like a toddlers!)
That's all l can think of at the moment,

Yes sassyblue!
Pheonix Nights is HILARIOUS imo, as is Planes, Trains and Automobiles!
"That Peter Kay Thing" is also quite funny.
I also love Monty Python's The Holy Grail - but I think you need to have a particular sense of humour to appreciate it!
I'm a big fan of "The League of Gentlemen" (BBC 2 comedy) but again, you need to have a particular sense of humour to enjoy it."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
This is AMAZING and really made me smile this morning:
http://www.wimp.com/bestcoin/I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
