for my sisters wedding we were on a tight budget. we decided to give eBay a go and ordered one from china for a trial, it was £25. they had the measurements listed on the page so I chose a size 14 which should have been too big if anything. when it came it was absolutely gorgeous but so small! definitely not the measurements it said on the page, it barely fit her size 8 bridesmaid. so disappointed cos it was lovely quality.0

I bought my bridesmaid dresses from china on eBay! They were about £50 for three, and were perfect I wish I had got myself one
The delivery said something like four weeks, but I had them within two, and they came in such a small package I did think eeeek! But they had just folded them very small so needed hanging up for a couple of months! Mine were chiffon so the creases didn't matter so much. I was really pleased with them though as we're my girls!
Rachie, that sounds like a great idea.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.
Busy saving for my wedding July 2014.

I had heard that but the measurements online looked right for the size I ordered....fingers crossed!!Debt free (if you don't count the mortgage!)0 -
I ordered the twist and wrap dresses off BHS in Ocean, I picked them up today, got them for £46 each as I had a code and they were 30% off anyway. I tried one on and looked nice on me, so just hope they look good on my bridesmaids!0

Ah never mind, Im sure you'll find something. I am dying for my bridesmaids to try theirs on, they are all quite slim so the size small should fit them! Really hope they do. When I last looked all the size medium had sold out.0 -
oooh no!
I was a bridesmaid for my sister last year, she got the dresses from china off ebay, she paid £55 per dress (10 bridesmaids!)
they were supposed to be cadburys purple but came in an icky plum colour, and none of them fit properly they didnt have any of the stuff inside that makes them fit nice in the shops
its my turn to get married next year i'm going for a royal blue theme,
i've got my dress but i want my bridesmaids online, has anyone bought from bluebridesmaid.com ?
They look like proper real dresses and the prices aren't bad?
Just super scared of buying on the internet now0 -
Hey Suzi,
Well it's worked out ok for me, phew! The dress have arrived, it's lovely! Not perfect, the hem needs a bit of attention but then I had just ordered the standard size 12 so it will need altering for whoever wears it anyway. It's a bit wonky, but my Mum assures me this is fixable as it needs taking up! We will use a local seamstress to fit them properly. I'm a little unsure about sending exact measurements in as i've seen a few horror stories about people doing this and them not turning out ok. I'd rather get a standard size and get it altered when the person is wearing it! Have you taken the plunge and ordered any yet?Debt free (if you don't count the mortgage!)0 -
There's nothing wrong with letting your bridesmaids pick, however some materials and shades of the same colour as well as cuts can look a little odd together.
I tend to do dress shopping on Amazon. Dark green dresses with positive reviews on Amazon:
