It is a bank holliday here in Holland so we're all off.

Spent the morning lazing around, and talking with DD1. She's got herself mixed up with some 'wrong' friends, and had a 20 year old lad convincing her to go steady with him. (she is 14!! I don't think SO!!)
It was good, we had a wonderful talk and for the first time in ages I feel like I'm in reall contact with her again. Boyfriend has been told by me to *&%% off. So i'm hoping to keep a close relationship with DD to keep her from making some big mistakes.

Went to visit with a friend this afternoon and just got back in.
I'm going to fly the hoover around the high traffic area's as there are pearler beads all over the floor!!
and then it's time to make the tea!

Tomorrow I'm off work as well, and hoping to do some serious cleaning.

    Hello everyone.

boston- hope that shoulder is feeling a bit better
aimee- fingers crossed for a great first day at work
maralum- good for you for getting plenty of rest!
juliejim- hello and welcome back to the friendliest thread ever
michelle- how's work? you mentioned you were a bit fed up with them moving the goalposts for you, I hope you get it resolved.

:grouphug: for everyone who needs them and I wish for speedy and happy outcomes to all the stressful situations people are currently facing.

Not done a single thing here as yet.

New Peacocks store opened in town today so I nipped along and bought a couple of bits for hols as they had 10% off.

Finished work today for a fortnight.:T

May not fly tonight and do bathroom along with spare room and DS room.
I want to give the whole house a clean, or as best I can, on Monday before we leave. We have a friend house and catsitting whilst we are away. I think I need to devise a POA to get things all ready. Another excuse to write another list!

    Afternoon / evening all

I hope everyone is feeling better and a bit less depressed. I'm blaming the weather. Just remember a few little jobs here and there, like putting washing on or making sure the sides are clear of washing up in the kitchen cam make a big difference to your overall motivation to the house. Apart from that a huge massive hug and feel good kiss from me!!

Had a cool first day at work - got an office and it even has my name on the door - Dr Aimee Lister - was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool as its the first time ive ever been called that. But the office hadnt been used for ages and was filthy, so i made my excuses, came home, picked up my stardrops and microfibre and set to my office and now its spangly. Im going to take inspiration from Shirley and try the fly lady approach to work and see how i go.

I just have the loo to clean now and tea to cook, should start on that one i suppose as my housemate will eb back soon with some nann breads from the curry house next door to his work.

Hope everyone has a chilled evening ready for a productive flying day tomorrow. Axxx

    Hello!

Welcome back on line embb and juliejim.
Boston, love that little flappy creature at the end of your post!
Demonicangel, as Maralum suggested I'll pop Lucycat in the post to catch your mouse.

Well I don't know what happened today but I'm full of beans this evening so I'm going to play catch up after a couple of days neglect.
I was moaning at work about being energyless and drowsy and loads of folks feel the same way at the moment. A little theory that emerged was.. tree pollen. I'm not a hayfever person but if it's a really high pollen count I can usually tell. Does this make sense or am I still a bit of a crank?

My bedroom and the bathroom. Take it to level 3 and no prisoners.

    TTFN

PS Aimeelister, glad you had a good first day at work!

oooh it's open then, I'm too lazy to go into the centre of soton at the weekend plus there's a Peacocks in Shirley which I can walk to, though I'm sure that the one in town is bigger.

Glad your first day went ok. Flying at work is sort of working for me, I leave my desk tidy when I go home, which is very nice to come back to in the morning, clear my email inboxes and put anything to do the next day into my task list.

There's a page on the flylady site about flying at work if you haven't seen it, though much of it is not relevant to me.

It's very modern looking in there, white and bright!
Downstairs is ladieswear and upstairs is ladies underwear and also children's and mens clothing.
I don't do town on a weekend if I can help it, much prefer to mooch around after I pick up DS as it's so much qiueter at that time of day.

I was out all day yesterday and when I came home i was knacked so it was bath and a early night. Consequently today has been catch up which hasn't gone too badly, considering I can't be bothered doing anything.

So today has looked like -
    Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
[STRIKE]Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
Check fire alarms are working [/STRIKE]
    Level 2
[STRIKE]Remove bed linen and wash[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]replace with fresh not yet replaced[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linenwill do next[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs[/STRIKE]
Level 3not going to manage today
    Clean window & wipe windowsill
    Wipe doors and handles
    Declutter Mission Task
Choose one cupboard to clear, even if only for 10 minutes

    Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
[STRIKE]Clean floors in these rooms(even if it is around clutter[/STRIKE])
    Level Two
    Clear any clutter from desk
[STRIKE]Clean bath, toilet and sink [/STRIKE]
    Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)
    Level Three
    Clear clutter from floor
    [STRIKE]Wipe down tiles in bathroom[/STRIKE]
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
    [STRIKE]Clean windows[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Declutter Mission Task going to be the PC desk[/STRIKE]
This ones up to you, a drawer, a cupboard or even a room you have been avoiding, time to declutter it! Even if it's just for 10 minutes

    My list -
    [STRIKE]book airport parking[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]list freezer contents
[STRIKE]meal plan for next two weeks
    shop list for tomorrow[/STRIKE]water greenhouse[/STRIKE]
contact council for going on supply for lists for classroom asst
[STRIKE]price up a trampoline for the girls birthday[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]order more ink for printer[/STRIKE].

Getting through things, I am going to hoover and then replace the bed linen but before I do that I am going to spend 10 mins clearing this pc desk.
