    Morning everyone.

No words on motivation either - it's with me or it isn't and if i am in one of them moods, then there is no motivating me.

I am struggling a bit with the flying here. I have spent the past week marking every evening for 2-3 hours plus trying to do a bit through the day while DS is asleep, doing as much of the house maintenance as i can, but it is darn tricky.

DH took the cat to the vet for me on Tuesday night for more tests, and he has kidney crystals, so as well as the antibiotics i have to force feed him, now he requires a special diet from the vet, so i will have to go there this afternoon to pick that up. Hopefully it isn't too expensive as we have already had to dip into the savings this month. The hard bit will be stopping the 2 cats eating each others food.

    Flying today, i have managed:
    • me and baby are up, fed and dressed
    • i've checked emails, caught up here and done pigsback for the 1st time this week. (might have sold a DVD on amazon so i will have to check emails again later)
    • emptied airers of washing
    • hung up load i did late last night
    • WM on with DH's jeans, which will have to go in TD as i can't get everything dry
    • had a play on the floor with charlie
    • about to check banking, sort post, and then try to have a quick look at marking this morning.
Have to do today - go to vet
should do today - go to post office and library, but that may be tomorrow at this rate

i am going to go and try to do something as he will only be asleep for about 30-45 minutes and i am so busy at the moment.

I have looked at the list this week, but can't be bothered to do anything. I'm feeling very stressed at the moment about our living situation. The landlord has put the house on the market and we have to be out by 25th July. Unfortunately rents here are astronomical and way beyond what we can afford - and that's if you can find anything - so I have visions of us having to live in a tent. If we do find somewhere there's all the stress of the actual move. I'm feeling really down about the whole thing, so the dirt will just keep on piling up round us I'm afraid.

Boston_uk - Bless you! Thanks for your suggestions. I'm feeling a bit better now. Funny how you get yourself into a wee spiral of feeling sorry for yourself. You're right though. I started doing a bit in our bedroom and it looks better now. Plus that spurred me on to put a washing in so I feel as if I've acheived something now.

Michelle - isn't it funny how some days you get up ready for anything and others, you just need a rocket up your backside. I'm in awe of you, tracy and Maralum (plus others no doubt!) who have babies around the same age as our little one but you also seem to get so much more done! Aw well.

Now sitting with a cuppa watching This Morning arguing about whether it's possible to be a perfect wife AND mother.

Well done TM! And it sounds like my suggestions were way to old for your LO - but you can save them till later! :rotfl:
Sometimes you just need to do one thing - and we all know one thing leads to another :D

Just spoken to my young dog's breeder (an old friend) as last night he started taking after his great grandmother ( whom I knew very well) and ate a live mouse in the garden! Just swallowed it whole ....

    yuk.gif

A nice BARF extra to his usual feed !! So far he hasnt brought it up and it now looks like it will go the way of all .. no - ok .. I wont go there....

Both bathrooms now done so the rest of the day is for work and books apart from the usual daily routines.

Oh I do like that one ....

I've learnt to just do what i can when i can grab a few moments, and then when i can't be bothered it is usually because i am so tired that if i force myself to do it, i will probably end up feeling really down. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment with your little one, as i wouldn't want mine to remember me being grumpy or always busy. (must also work on - not always sat on the laptop and ignoring him :rotfl: )

While he was asleep i managed:
    • a solo loo trip
    • plucked my eyebrows
    • grabbed a load of washing from upstairs
    • emptied washer, reloaded with next lot and got it on
    • checked internet banking, paid credit card bill and moved some spending money for sisters hen night from savings account
    • made a cuppa and ate 4 biccies
    • added up the score on about 20 exam papers (have to do it in the morning as if i do it in the evening i can't count :D )
    • got some sausages out of the freezer for tonights dinner
    • chased the cats outside cos they were play-fighting
None of that is earth-shattering, but if i had sat on here for that time i would have done nothing apart from have the tea and biccies ;)

And i remember a little saying my dad has - 'there is no praise like like self praise'
and i give myself a little pat on the back, and think well done!!

Don't give yourself a hard time, cos no-one else is chuck.

    Good afternoon everyone,

Havnt done much today, but the house still seems tidy!!!

I have swished the bathroom and toilets, hung the washing up outside (no rain today HURRAH!!!) and swept the kitchen floor.
Still to do - sort out my ebay pile and sort out the huge pile of paperwork by the computer. I know there are bills to be paid, so it really does need doing!!!

I also need to find a nice recipe for the chicken pieces we are having for dinner tonight - think i will do that now!!!

Have a great day everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We had the same thing happen to us about 3 years back - just 6 weeks to find somewhere and move in with a 3-year-old! The only thing I can think of is trying local housing associations & council. Explain you have to be out by the 25th and they might be able to do something for you, especially as you have kids! We only managed as I have a family-friend who owns some properties and she kicked a non-paying tenant out. We found out on the Friday that she had somewhere for us as we had to be out the following Monday. Now thats a stressful situation!:eek:

If I was you, although you're down, take out your anger at the landlord on your house - my house was never cleaner or decluttered as it was those 6 weeks :rotfl: I'd also pack up what you can now (like off season clothes, christmas decs etc) into boxes. If you start packing things you know you won't need now then it will cut down the stress as it gets closer to the time to move. ;) Also have a REALLY good declutter, you can either sell the stuff, donate the stuff, bin the stuff - or my favourite at the time was if it broke (like crockery but nothing glass) I took it out into the alleyway (our yard was too small) and flung it at the wall :rotfl::rotfl: Tallk about de-stressing :rotfl: Oh, and I did clean it up afterwards :p Hope it works out for you.

Its a grey muggy day here and I just can't get myself into action at all. I felt a bit better reading that I was not the only one. DH came home for lunch and probably regretted it because I just blubbed about how bad I feel. He has ordered me to put my feet up and watch a soppy dvd with a cup of tea and a bit of cake. I made rhubarb and raisin cake last night. I am trying to find as many uses as possible for rhubarb. I also burnt some rhubarb jam I was trynig to make this morning. Right, I will go and do as I have been told. I wish you all well and hope to be back tomorrow feeling a bit brighter.

poohbear- I hope you are feeling brighter after your DVD time.

When you are feeling up to it would you mind very much PM'ing me the recipe for the rhubarb and raisin cake. I have some in the freezer I need to use up and this sounds like a great way of cooking it!
