Well my AA credit card TCB became payable, opened end November, payable after 9 weeks, 6 weeks earlier than the estimate:T

So when it works it works, no drama, no intervention needed.

So GOOD FOR AA CREDIT CARD TCB.

Just that Co-op Bank TCB sitting there week after week!

At least I've got the money to buy it a first birthday cake now, only 9 weeks to go:)

• Hey everyone,

@abandonded – We do believe this issue is caused by the web browser she used have conflicting saved passwords. I would, therefore, advise her to try deleting saved passwords and if that doesn’t work to try a different web browser.

@Yorkshire Pud – Not having the money to pass on to you is not something we can force within a specified time period I am afraid. As explained the issue is much bigger than TopCashback as one commission source and may not be down to the merchant not paying the commission due. I kindly ask for you to continue to bear with us while this is being resolved. I appreciate it’s taking it’s time and a much longer time frame that anyone of us wants but until we are in receipt of those funds I am afraid your transaction will remain as it is.

@ legendkiller2k8 – The cashback you earn is for you, not us and you can have it as soon as we are paid regardless of if this takes a week or several months. I appreciate the longer time frames are frustrating but the information you are suggesting about TopCashback keeping funds until it wishes are untrue and can be extremely misleading to those members who view this forum.

I would like to re-emphasise here there is no direct relationship between us and the merchant. It’s not a matter of the merchant pays directly to our bank accounts. It has to go through the correct commission processes and this indeed can sometimes be where the hold up us. Neither the fault of the merchant or the cashback site.

@kimcoates - I am sorry to hear your cashback with ASDA has been declined. I am more than happy to look into any transaction you wish. To take this opportunity up please email mse@topcashback.co.uk

Best wishes,
Matt
Misleading? A bit like TCBs adverts then that's misleading.

Still no answer about the misleading info on merchants pages? I've posted in great detail why the current website is dishonest - if you want to use the "we can only pay once we've been paid" excuse you need to redesign the website to manage expectations.

Currently the website is set up to (deliberately) persuade potential customers that cashback is quick, easy and guaranteed. Only when there are problems is the reality made clear.

Hey everyone,

@Yorkshire Pud – I am glad your AA cashback has now been paid. I hope you enjoy spending this.

@ steve1500 - I am afraid at this time we do not have enough information to create an accurate average payment speed for you. However, I do hope it isn’t too long until your cashback starts to progress.

@ cm7 - I have replied to your different comments In a lot of detail, including where the stats come from and why they have displayed through that. I do also believe we have an email chain in the mse@topcashback.co.uk email account and openly asked for any further clarity that you need.

I hope this helps everyone.

Best wishes,
Matt

Huh? You've addressed nothing in detail and evaded every question. I guess that in itself shows the type of company you aim to be.

You can't have it both ways, pre-transaction the official line (directly on every merchants page) is "everyone gets their cashback, guaranteed, quickly, on time, we're great!". Post-transaction this changes to multiple variations of "wait and see".

I understand that from your perspective you want as many people to click through to merchants as possible. With dodgy merchants a click through costs you nothing and provides potential future earnings. You need to communicate this clearly on merchants pages, currently even high risk merchants are presented as guaranteed, fast cashback. You don't even have to label them high risk, just remove the misleading "99.xx% satisfied" number and provide the payment stats in a more honest fashion.

For certain merchants there are constant streams of recent reviews attempting to warn others. It's perhaps understandable to default to highest rated reviews initially. When I specifically choose "lowest rated" or "newest" then move to page 2 it immediately changes back to "highest rated". That's deliberate and dishonest.

Hi @cm7,

Many thanks for your comments. I do believe I have addressed where we pull the 'satisfied with' statistics from.

In regards to your comments on the display settings for the blog comment, I will ask our tech team to look into that to see if it is something we can change for you.

I have had 2 large purchases declined by Laptopsdirect (affiliate windows user) over the last 4 month. During that time I have done dozens of deals without issues. The reasoning given by TCB is just platitudes, and clearly Laptopsdirect has no interest in resolving the issues.

Further when I looked at Laptopsdirect reviews on TCB, I was unable to see any reviews since mid December, which I know is incorrect as I posted one myself.

I tried contacting the retailer but they refused to answer my question (didn't reply to emails!!).

Is the problem with TCB, the affiliate, or the retailer?
• My Origin Broadband transaction declined 4 months after I paid upfront for 12 months was also via Affiliate Window

No doubt TCB will reply saying the reason why A.W crop up so often re declines is thats who supply most of the cashback offers. :p

Looks like best thing I can do is complain direct to Origin Broadband about cashback contract misselling.

I'm sure you are correct that Affiliate Windows has a large chunk of the referral business, but with so many deals going through AW shouldn't TCB have some serious discussions with them as clearly there are too many errors in AW's systems - certainly not as "robust" as TCB would have us believe.

Its in everyone's interest to resolve this, merchants will be affected as customers will steer clear of retailers who are subject to issues; TCB who won't get their business, as well as the punters at the end of the line. Everyone looses except the AW.

Its crazy to suggest that its the users fault when other deals go through ok.

Lastly TCB have had systems issues of late (today too) how can TCB say these won't affect these issues?
