  • Good afternoon Legendkiller2k8,

I have just responded to your Twitter post also, please do let me assure you that we do not pocket any declined cashback, if a transaction goes on to be declined, then the cashback for this does not go on to be passed forward to us to pass on to you, I am sorry to hear that you feel this could be the case though. Was your transaction made within the last 3 months? If so then we would be able to follow this up for you via a declined cashback claim to see if we can get this decision overturned? Unfortunately though any transactions made over 3 months ago are not able to be accepted for review I'm afraid.

If you do have any further questions at all though then don't hesitate to get back in touch!

    Best wishes,
    Samantha
yes was in the last 3 months august 4th but your system isn't allowing me to make a claim, as you have probably seen on twitter BT seem to be looking into it now.

@BM - We will always raise and follow up any expected cashback amounts have not been received where we can, and should you ever find yourself in a position where this is the case, please let us know and we would be happy to follow this up for you via our channels. Hopefully though these occurrences are few and far between!

Matt does monitor our Facebook page also so it is likely that during the week it will be him that you are speaking to on there.

Yeh, hopefully. But sadly they are more and more common now.
There never ever was a £42 rate for SSE 'ultrafast fibre broadband' of my TCB account, only £73.50.
My package - Talk anytime (15) & SSE Ultrafast Fibre (D511)
Luckily, I picked this up within minutes as iy tracked almost immediately and my claim was in within 30 minutes of tracking. What I would find totally unacceptable is for TCB to state they can't pay me the promoted amount after four full months because they haven't received the full amount. It wouldn't be 'fair play' would it?

Re alleged court case - I thought that would be 'Cookie' Matt.
You wouldn't have the details would you Samantha? :D
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

    Hello both,

@Legendkiller2k8, - I am glad to hear that BT are looking into this for you, if you do want me to take a look from this side at all, don't hesitate to email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk and I would be happy to do so.

@B_M - Thanks for lodging your claim so quickly and hopefully it is not four months down the line before a resolution is received, I will keep my fingers crossed that you go on to see the full amount applied as expected and hopefully in a timely manner!

I don't have any details on an alleged court case I'm afraid and as I am sure you understand, we are not in a place to be able to disclose any information such as this in relation to another member. I am sorry that I have not been able to provide anything more on this matter.

    Have a great day!

    Best wishes,

Well done, I applaud you. :T
Unbelievable really, someone declined this and you had to resolve it by going direct to the merchant. It was obviously declined and how many would have just accepted the loss? Where would that large payment end up? Always best to go direct as it may not actually be their issue and wise to alert them to potential issues.
Be proud though, you have achieved what a cashback site couldn't or wouldn't.
Members of TCB, take note of what you have to do to obtain a genuine cashback. You have to be prepared to do the work yourself! Pretty much pathetic, but don't go in blind!

Yes, it does make you wonder.
Taking ownership of an issue and bringing it to fruition is a skill. Some have it, many don't.
Going direct to the top helps, well worth copying in the 'top brass' to a direct complaint.

I need to submit a missing cashback claim with Superdrug. First untracked case with them, but their setup when it comes to the form concerns me.

It says that the order value must be reported as net order value (not a problem) and if that's wrong it'll be declined.

The problem comes when actually entering the figures. The first page doesn't mention the net value so I put in the total (£5.32.) It appears to calculate the net from that itself, with no option of editing the figure. It says £4.25 (roughly what you get if you do £5.32 * 0.8) but I thought the net was £4.43. (£5.32 / 1.2.) This calculator also supports my calculation rather than the one on the page: http://www.vatcalculator.co.uk .

Wouldn't matter which was used if they didn't say they'd decline if the figure was wrong (both would yield the expected cashback in this case.)

    Hello

I applied for a Tesco No Fee Balance transfer on April 7th.

At the time it did not track, and the tracking statistics were very poor with around 87% tracking rate, although it has come up a bit since them.

The issue is that Tesco appear not to have responded to my claim and has sat 'waiting for merchant' for over 4 months.

Can you confirm that Tesco are failing to engage with you - I just need a 'yes' or 'no' to this question so I can take this further direct with the merchant.
