Do you work for TCB?
A few months ago, I may have agreed with you but now that I have had the chance to 'look under the bonnet', I can safely say it is the worst cashback site I have used. The claims handling rarely got results, 4 support tickets went unanswered and only after Samantha intervened was I even told that I was being accused of fraudulent or abusive activity (still not sure which). TCB did inform me that their decision was partly based on information from myself which was interesting, given that they never contacted me.
My opinion of Top Cashback is based upon the poor experience that I have had, what is your opinion of the other cashback sites based on?
No I do not work for Top Cash Back, If I did I wouldn't be allowed to post on this thread
My opinion of other cashback sites is very poor.
Quidco have awful customer service and I left them as most of my claims went unanswered and untracked.
Imutual is ok and I have used them but they are rarely better on the percentages than TCB which is my main one.
Anyway, lets agree to disagree. Life is far too short and there are far more problems to worry about than some un guaranteed cashback.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I agree that we should just agree to disagree. I just wanted to let people know that Top Cashback can not be trusted (in my opinion) and if this stops one person from joining then it is job done for me.
I would however say that my issues are not about unguaranteed cashback. I know how the tracking works and that no site can guarantee cashback. It is about how TCB treated me as a member. They closed my account without explanation, ignored my e-mails and kept my cashback that was payable on a complaint from a merchant. I accept that the merchant is entitled to complain to TCB (as anyone using their service should be), but I am disappointed with with how TCB handled this as the merchant had no grounds for complaint (their product did not meet my needs and I was perfectly entitled to replace it with a better product). At no point did TCB ever ask me for my side of the story (despite their subsequent comments that they did), they took the merchants word as fact and clearly this could happen to any one of us.0 -

Hi Topcashback
I have a transaction of £20.40 for direct line home insurance which has been at confirmed status for a few months now and hasn't reached payable status. Could you please take a look if I email the details?
Thanks0 -
I think you are being a bit unfair there, when TCB get their commission they will pay you what's owing to you.
If they don't get paid then you won't.
This could be one of those retailers I mentioned who should be dropped from their site but they will probably judge that by the number of failed cashbacks.
No cash back is guaranteed but I do not believe that TCB or any other cash back company are withholding payments once they have been paid .
The whole system works on a sort of "virtual" basis so slight hiccups that can occur cannot always be corrected.
Are you suggesting that if TCB don't get paid then TCB should pay you anyway?

I have been with Topcashback for years. They may not be fast but they are no slower than other similar sites. They also offer much better value, so it can be worth waiting a little longer. They offer an option of payouts in Tesco points - which can be worth 2 to 4 times a cash pay-out.0

Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is having a nice day.
@Browntoa - Thanks for your comments. We do as you say, try and help everyone where we can. If you have any queries in the future please don't hesitate to let us know.
@tight_arze - If your transaction has not progressed to payable yet, it will mean that we are still awaiting the funds to be passed over to us. However, If you can kindly send your account email address and the transaction details to mse@topcashback.co.uk, we can take a look into how this is progressing for you.
@legendkiller2k8 - I can assure you we do not hold cashback and have no intentions to start doing so. Once the cashback is paid by the merchant it goes through a cashback network, which means it may not go into your account the exact same day as the merchant has paid it. But once the network processes the payment and passes it onto us it goes straight to you. If you haven't been paid, it means we have not been paid.
In relation to Snap and Save, if we sent this error to you it means it can't be displayed and therefore we can't see if the receipt meets the terms of the offer. As you will have seen we give all members a 2nd chance to send in a receipt through an email. The only reason we do this is to give all our members the fair chance of earning the expected cashback. As long as it meets the terms and conditions of the offer it will be approved. We have no intentions to mislead members and have only created this option to help members earn more cashback.
@Bougainvillea - Many thanks for your comments we really do value and appreciate them. We do pride ourselves on being the UK's highest offering cashback site, and we love being able to allow you to payout through various different methods including the massively popular clubcard points. If you have any future queries please do let us know
@ carh – I can further assure you there is no truth in your assumptions that we keep cashback. The whole cashback system relies on cookies and what information your device tells the merchant. You may have made the purchase and it may be eligible for the cashback, but unless the merchant can see that we are the last referrer we will not be paid the cashback and it won’t track. In addition, it may be that a transaction does track but when the merchant goes to confirm the transaction it sees that your device has told the merchant you came from a different referrer and not us.
When you click through from us, we do show a message to say that your visit has been recorded – this is wholly for our records and means if a transaction doesn't track we have evidence that helps us to query a claim. Also I would like to mention that the tracking is not done by us and we have no power to tell the cashback network not to track a transaction. It is unfortunate that you feel we can. We are a honest and fair company that passes on cashback when it is awarded to us. I am sorry if you have had a bad experience.
If your claim has been approved and then the transaction has been declined, you can normally ask our Claims Team to query this further and in most cases they can. If you want to query this further please do email us the transaction details and your email to mse@topcashback.co.uk
I hope this helps everyone.
Best wishes,
