Timetoface the music I did the fasting diet for two weeks and lost 10lb. I have stopped at the moment because it's too cold, but intend to start again when it gets warmer. It works!

My Wife tried the 30 day diet once,

    She lost a month:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Twin one,

Got on well at the Hospital,

Her hearing checked out OK, (Did not think much was wrong there anyway, Apart from the stuff she chooses not to hear)

There is evidence that glue ear has been there, But all looks clear at the moment.

We have got to go back In six months time. But he dose not think that she will be in the group that ever needs anything done. Just will have to put up with any ear infections she gets and keep an eye on her,

She is not filling behind at school and at the moment no trouble hearing.
She should grow out of it with no trouble, Just In time.

They normlay only start to get worried and start doing things if
1, They are haveing trouble hearing and falling behind at school.

2, they are haveing between 8-10 ear Infectiousness a year.

She has had a bout 5 In 12 months, The last one In January this year.

Still she has been checked out and will be looked at again.
As long as they are happy then I'm a Happy Dad,:T:T

Best health service In the world,

Free at the point of access,

We need to defend It at all costs,

We will really miss it if we lose it! :A

    Afternoon All

Headlight - Glad your DD is ok, you're right about the health service. Did you see the programme on BBC2 last night about it?

Dementia is a truly horrible condition, my dad went from a strong, intelligent, hardworking man to a shadow and it was so sad to see. He occasionaly had worthy conversations and thankfully didn't forget me but I didn't see him towards the end as distance and DHs illness got in the way. I choose not to remember him when he was ill.

Still mighty cold here, snow flurries on and off all day but nothing settling at the moment. HH I know how you feel about playground supervision, I spend 3/4 hour out there at lunchtimes, the 15 minutes in the morning is bearable but I am finding it hard to get warmed up again after the lunchtime shift!

Work was really busy but tomorrow is the last day for 2 weeks and I think everyone is ready for a holiday, children included. Church service in the morning and probably card making and playing the rest of the day. We finish 1/2 hour early too.

Cleaned my room and bathroom this afternoon and also the small living room, want to leave everything clean and tidy as DD and I are flying down south at the weekend for DSILs 50th. Washing fairly up to date (until DD picks up her floordrobe) and even cleaned the under sink cupboard.

Hugs to all those feeling poorly or down or have sick relatives and friends.
    Take care. XX

An hour and a half spent in the car dealers faffing with paperwork, however new settlement means payments are another £15 a month cheaper:money:and Jimmy the Juke mark 2 is sitting on the driveway! Popped to Mr M's on the way home, and have treated myself to the hairy bikers curry book, I see a spicy future as we love curry here! Time to throw dinner on the plates now.
Julie, forgot to say earlier, congratulations, I had a suspicion last week when you said you would have news from Australia, one of my old workmates emigrated to Aus with his family, and he is going to be a grampa in October too!

No, I forgot that it was on,

But I do believe that the NHS keeps us alive,

So we need to keep it alive,

OK it's not perfect, But then nothing never is,

We should never forget that most people In the world, If they can not pay, Then they don't get to see a doctor,

We are very lucky That no matter what our Income, We can go and see a doctor, If we need too,

We can get a broken leg seen too,

We can even get a new heart, all free of charge,

    (((HUGS)))) For the NHS,

  • Here are the cakes as promised made by my lovely PA this morning:

    These are Gluten free

    18drg4.jpg

Cant get the other picture...bottom, but its on the whats for dinner tonight including what OH did for dinner. It was so spicy, I thought my head was gonna explode:eek::eek::eek::eek: Loads left and around £5 for 8 portions of proper authentic Chicken Caribbean curry with rice and peas.

Have a delivery coming tomorrow as I was sent a £15 off £50 spend voucher from Mr T and wanted to stock up on lamb (£4kg) and chicken and be rude not too:D Also stocked up on Heinz beans, HP, breakfast bits, Gluten free hotdogs, eggs, passata x 10 at 29p each, yogurts, veg/fruit for over the weekend as we have visitors which we havent seen for ages and going to do a nice leg of lamb with the full works.

PA has offered to come in for a couple of hours Monday to help me prepare for guests as OH is working and she's also offered to do some pudding and cakes:D...no wonder Ive gained weight;) OH bought 2 huge foil good quality Lakeland trays reduced to 49p last week, so may cook the roasts in there as everyone loves roasties! OH will do his now signature yorkies in the Pampered Chef tray and we have parsnips, Leg of lamb and will make gravy with the juices, might do some mash too, carrot, cabbage and sweetcorn:D...yum!!

There is a spagbol sauce in the SC which will be portioned and frozen when cooled. Has anyone tried the new Lakeland storage containers? They are excellent and you get 10 for £7.99, but we have used them many times in the freezer, microwave etc and they've been great.

    Sorry, Im waffling again.

    PP

Hi Seems like there's a lot of us on here with experience of dementia....my dad has it too. He still know us all and can have a proper conversation, but I dread what the future might bring. He has obsessions with subjects, which change all the time....at the minute he's obsessed with space and the moon and spends hours reading stuff on his laptop......only thing is he never seems to realise that when he tells you what he 'has learnt', he probably told you the same things yesterday. He can't walk very well as the dementia affects his balance, so my mum can't leave him for long...so i spend quite a lot of time with him, especially as we only live next door.
My gran, my mum's mum, died yesterday....so a strange couple of days. She was 95 and we knew it was going to happen very soon, but still a shock when it actually happened. I suppose not a lot of people still have a granny till they're 45. She was in a care home just 10 minutes walk away and my mum's going to be lost as she visited almost every day.
Well, one more day at work tomorrow and then 2 weeks off....hope it warms up a bit.
