It would seem some people on GiffGaff might disagree that it can't be done, I think it's difficult because of the way Blackberry handle data connections, but apparently not impossible. Have you seen this?

Currently there is no way to easily tether a Blackberry with giffgaff as you need to activate the data connection on your phone and normally this can only be done by buying the Blackberry addon.

There is one way to do it though,if you install a "browser via tcp" service book file on your phone and input the giffgaff APN settings at TCP/IP you will then be able to tether to your pc or laptop either by setting up a new internet connection or using the tethering function of BDM.
