The advice on the account I took and will act on.
Are you saying that you would go one way if you were me.

I suppose what I am searching for is an answer to whether we are a classic bankruptcy case or can we get out of this using alternative methods. I worry about the future in terms of jobs and also the size of my disposable income that I could throw at debt now. All of this is causing my stress etc and making me i think like a bad dad and husband. Keen to know what would people do if they were me, my home no longer feels like a home and when I am there I want to spend the whole time in bed and not with the kids or wife. I know i should not be asking that but interested to know.
I have asked for shared experiences of families made homeless and how did they get on and how are the kids. I fear I wont be able to get a rental and will have to start on housing benefit in maybe in social housing if I can get one. I want to try and keep my house but want to be prepared for everything.

No-one can tell you what to do. No-one. Other peoples experiences are just that - THEIR experiences. No two situations are the same.

This is your decision and you need to make it as soon as possible or you're going to end up in hospital with a heart attack. How will that help anyone ? Think about the impact that would have on your wife and children.

People have given you so much advice but you seem incapable of doing anything for yourself. I feel sorry for your wife, i really do. If i was her, i would have done something myself by now. It's time to stop dithering AND MAKE A DECISION

Thats part of the problem she wants me to do it all and make all the decisions for the family myself.

I have just made a step by setting up a new account so lets see how we get on the DMP

If she says she will agree to whatever you arrange, then just do it.

I can also see why she would be annoyed about the time spent of the forum, you can put that time to much better use. Log on once a day, spend the rest of your time dealing with the problem.

OK, DMP it is then. Pop over to the Debtfree Wanabe board and chat with the guys there and get their support to help you through it. If you start to find it too much then you can always look at BR again.

Have a look at some of the other boards as well like the moneysaving old style board. Get your wife to have a look around the boards to. There is money to be saved in all sorts of places.
